The Trust was established by deed in 1987 as part of the settlement of a new scheme for the Sudbury Common Lands Charity. The trustees are elected by The Freement of Sudbury in quinqueniel meeting. The Trust is able to make grants to deserving Freemen of Sudbury or Widows of Freemen.The Trust makes donations to support deserving projects in the town of Sudbury.
