FUNDRAISING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE SCHOOL CHILDREN

The upkeep and management of Tuddenham St Martin Village Hall.

To raise funds to enable financial and other assistance to needy persons and organisations in our local community and also to Lions International projects.

1. MAKING PAYMENTS TO THE GOVERNORS FOR THE TIME BEING OF THE SCHOOL TO BE APPLIED BY THEM IN DISCHARGING THEIR OBLIGATIONS UNDER THE EDUCATION ACTS 1944 TO 1988 WITH RESPECT TO THE MAINTENANCE OF THE SAID SCHOOL. 2. PROVIDING SUCH SPECIAL BENEFITS OF ANY KIND NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY FOR THE SCHOOL.

Producing the FlipSide festival to promote cultural exchange with Brazil and Latin America, to run literature, translation, music and art events.

The Friends of Old Buckenham Hall is a parent and staff led association which exists to support, pupils, parents, staff and the local community by organising social and fund raising activities and events, such as the annual Dog Show, Bonfire night, the children's Christmas Fair, Curry and Quiz night, cake sales and runs the second hand uniform sales.

We provide for the advancement of education for older people and those retired from full time work, including associated activities conducive to learning and personal development. To do this we provide a base which enables members to share educational, creative and leisure activities by forming interest groups run and taught by themselves with no distinction between teachers and learners.

To promote, maintain, improve and advance the education of the public particularly in arts activities. To advance and encourage the study and practice of Music, Drama, Dance, Literature, Art and Craft by the promotion of a Competitive Festival each year.

Provides space and time to enable people to explore and deepen their faith and journey of life, their relationship with God, their fellow man and the world.

Scout Group

To plan, organise and run events and activities for the school children, their families and wider community to raise additional funds. This money is then used to purchase items/equipment, etc., for the benefit of all the pupils, that the School's budget cannot stretch to.

Provides a village hall and a playing field, complete with multi-use games court and children's play area, for the use of residents of Somerleyton and the surrounding area.

The objects of the Charity are to advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects. We are based in the East of England, centred on Saffron Walden. We perform concerts, run a carol competition for young composers and have occasional workshops.

Village hall to provide amenity facilities for local area. Currently: physical and mental well-being including pilates and yoga, bridge club, archaeology group, village social events including quiz nights, summer barbecues and armistice day celebrations, private lettings for children's parties and wedding receptions for the adjoining St Peter's church.

The Charity provides grants to retired Nonconformist Ministers or widows of Non Conformist ministers who have served at a Nonconformist church in Suffolk.

4th Dovercourt Sea Scout Group with children participating from ages 5 to 18 through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers

The organisation is responsible for the management of Battisford Village Hall, a former Victorian school that was transferred to community ownership in 1970, for the use of the villages of Battisford, Combs, Little Finborough, and Ringshall. The building is provided for public hire; it is regularly used by a snooker club and for private hires.

We rescue homeless dogs and after a period of assessment we pair them with ( mainly ) older people who express feelings of loneliness and isolation.We offer financial support if needed and assign a volunteer to visit at least weekly to walk the dog but importantly to encourage the person to walk in an effort to widen their social circle.
