The hall committee organises events to provide entertainment and community activities. The hall is a focal point for the village and provides a venue that villagers can hire for functions and other activities, such as playingsports . The committee organises fund raising activities, including external funding, to raise money to maintain and run the St James and St Nicholas community hall.

THE CHARITY MAKES TWICE-YEARLY PAYMENTS TO VILLAGERS IN HARDSHIP IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE. AT PRESENT ALL RECIPIENTS ARE PENSIONERS. IT ALSO MAKES GRANTS TO HELP STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN SCHOOL VISITS OR IN SCHOOL ACTIVITIES, WHERE LACK OF FAMILY INCOME WOULD HAVE PREVENTED SUCH PARTICIPATION. IT HAS ALSO ENABLED THE VILLAGE TO BUY A SMALL PIECE OF LAND WHERE GROWS A VETERAN OAK, PROVIDING ACCESS T

To advance the education of the public by the maintenance and development of a museum for the acquisition, restoration, preservation and public display of objects of educational, historic or artistic interest connected to the town of Framlingham.

The provision and maintenance of a village hall and playing field for the use of the inhabitants of Clopton and surrounding area without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for:(a) meetings, lectures and classes, and(b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.

Fihankra works in the UK and Africa to relieve poverty through the provision of accomodation, food, clothing,schooling, health education and training for orphans and vulnerable children, their families and the elderly living in poverty.Fihankra promotes the Christian faith through the holding of public meetings, prayer meetings and distribution of literature.

Provides shopping vouchers for over 70's in Hadleigh at christmas. Operates over 60's social club. Organises theatre trips & other coach outings for over 60's.

SCOUT TRAINING FOR BOYS AND GIRLS AGED 6 YEARS TO 16 YEARS IN SOUTHWOLD AND REYDON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA.

Aims to help local charitable causes, specifically with young persons from disadvantaged circumstances.

The objects of the friends are to maintain restore and preserve, for the benefit of the public, the fabric and furnishings of the parish church and churchyard of All Saints, Hitcham, in order to preserve and protect one of the finest churches in Suffolk as a place of Christian worship and as the architectural centrepiece of the village.

General Charity giving to local organisations etc

Parent teacher group who fund raise for school.Activities include Sponsored events, school discos, Summer/Winter Fayres and others.All events have Teacher and/or Parental supervision. Trustees are never responsible for children other than their own.

Provides village hall facility

To promote and advance public education in the Science of Astronomy and the provision of facilities for active participation in astronomical observation.

Daily meetings in our Shed to make & repair things for fund raising. Occasional meeting are held in a local village hall to discuss matters allied to the organisation and chat over a cuppa. Attend many local events eg. fetes to sell goods made. Have social outings for meals, visits to attractions and receive speakers. Assist other charities with their fund raising events.
