Raising money through various events to provide extra items for the Rose Hill School, Derby Road, Ipswich.

The charity holds several events in Wortham each year to raise funds for the maintenance of Wortham church. Events are usually concerts in the church and social evenings in Wortham village hall. Funds are also raised through membership subscriptions and appeals.

The Trust makes of grants to individuals or groups for instance via Christmas fuel or grocery vouchers to old age pensioners living alone in the parish and a grant to the village Over 70s Dinner Fund. Its Apprenticeship Fund helps young people with expenses incurred on further or higher education, apprenticeships or training courses.

Leavenheath Scout Group is based in Leavenheath, Suffolk and consists of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts

We raise money for Bucklesham school by organising small events during the school year. This can range from such things as holding a summer or Christmas fair, to a quiz night or disco. The money raised goes to help improve the childrens school and learning.

The objects and aims of the Charity, are to make available information and literature on the disease and details of locally available resources. A prime aim is to raise the awareness of Prostate Cancer, and associated issues, both locally and nationally, and to give priority to self-support for cancer patients by promoting regular talks, social activities, and providing time for these.

It enables women who are interested in all issues associated with rural life, to improve and develop rural life, to advance their education in citizenship, public questions, cultural subjects, agriculture, handicrafts, home economics, health and social welfare. It seeks to give women the opportunity of working together, and of putting into practice those ideals for which it stands.

Village Hall

Manage village hall and surrounding grounds for the benefit of the village

We arranges walks for greyhounds, lurchers and other sighthounds and give support to their owners. We attend shows to raise awareness. Money is raised by collections, at walks, shows and social events. We have close links with local greyhound kennels and national and international greyhound and sighthound organisations and support them with grants after trustee assessment.

The Friends of the Rosie have been in existence for the past 50 years. Our aim is to raise money to buy comforts and equipment that the NHS cannot provide for mothers and babies both in the hospital and in the district. We run stalls selling knitted goods. We can always use any offers of help and new volunteers to support our work.

Provision of Religious Services and Community Support

Raising funds primarily by way of subscriptions and donations to make grants to the Lavenham Parochial Church Council to assist in the achievement of our objects (as outlined in our Constitution) to beautify and assist in the maintenance of the fabric of the church to preserve and protect the church as a place of worship.

Producing the FlipSide festival to promote cultural exchange with Brazil and Latin America, to run literature, translation, music and art events.

Raise monies, through fund raising events, to benefit Copdock Primary School.

Land Holding re local allotment land, and small amount of pasture / grazing land, collection of rents, payment of expenses and distribution of grants to beneficiaries locally.

The Friends of Thetford Dad's Army Museum runs the Dad's Army Museum in Thetford which provides displays about the BBC TV programme and its links to the Thetford area as well as the Home Guard. In addition the Friends seek to participate in events and projects that will raise the profile of the Museum, one such project was the erection of a statue of Captain Mainwaring in Thetford in 2010.
