Establish & maintain Forest School and Nursery settings in a variety of woodland areas in North East England. Deliver Forest School & outdoor learning activities in local woodland to children & young people. The aims of Praxis are to promote and advance the social welfare and housing needs of people who are poor, suffering or recovering from mental health illness, alcoholism or chemical addictions, by providing advice, treatment and support through the provision of both community services and the develpoment and management of housing schemes intended to provide accommodation for homeless people.

Our charity is a County Scout Council which operates in the County of Durham and the local authority areas of Gateshead, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Darlington. We are responsible for the governance, delivery and support of Scouting in accordance with the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association and we operate and manage an adventurous activity centre outside of Durham.

THE CHARITY'S PRIMARY AIM IS TO PROVIDE OUTDOOR EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE USING ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITIES TO CONTRIBUTE TO THEIR PERSONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT.

In expansion of our religion service, the charity opened a new centre in Sunderland, Uk. Also made grant donations to other charity such as the Ameobi hardship funds for international students. As part of our advancement of education, the charity made an education enlightment trip to the city of Blackpool for his members. Small donations were also made to individauls who were under extreme poverty

To promote, improve and advance participation and education in the arts including the arts of dance, drama and music for people of all ages and abilities.

Based in the grounds of the John Marley Centre, in Scotswood, the charity offers a wide range of activities linked to sustainability issues and improving mental health and well-being. The programmes include: educational workshops, youth groups, older peoples services, volunteering and training. The charity is involved with a range of environmental and community based projects within the area.

We offer breakfast and out of school care in 6 local schools in Gateshead as well as providing holiday care at rural Lamesley. Approximately 300 children per day use our provisions per day.

To advance the Christian religion by the provision of a house of retreat, primarily but not exclusively for members of the Churchof England who are resident in the Dioceses of Newcastle and Durham, which may also be used for any other charitable purpose which in the opinion of the trustee will maintain and strengthen the religious and educational life of its users.

Enriching the lives disabled children, young people and their families.

The principal activity of the charity is supplying furniture and household goods to those most in need in the North East of England, in particular to people in Sunderland. The charity participates in charitable projects for the relief of elderly or disabled and vulnerable people in the same area. We promote reuse and recycling as a means of waste disposal and we provide recycling activities.
