Thursley Charities offer assistance to the poor, sick, disabled or elderly of the Parish of Thursley, Surrey.

VARIOUS TRAINING COURSES AND OTHER ACTIVITIES (SUCH AS SOCIAL AND PRAYER GATHERINGS) TO SUPPORT THE WORK OF CROSS CULTURAL MINISTRY.

Support Milford School by making a positive and enduring contribution to school life. The primary aim of The Friends of Milford School is to coordinate fundraising, social events and working parties that in-turn support the school by enhancing the pupil's education experiences, either directly or indirectly.

Provision of Hall and open space leisure and sports facilities for the benefit of the local community for private and village wide functions.

Provides Scouting activities to young people, male and female, from age 6.5 years to 15 years.

To give financial help to needy residents of the Parish of Buckland

Grants are made to residents in Gospel Standard Bethesda Homes having difficulty in meeting the fees.

ACTIVITIES TO HELP DEVELOP YOUNG STUDENTS

For the relief of poverty amongst the elderly and charitable donations to young people in need within The Ancient Parish of Wotton, Surrey.

The Ash Club gives information and advice, and provides facilities for recreation and other leisure-time occupation in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving life for women in the area of Spelthorne without distinction of political, religious or other opinions. The Club also fundraises in a small way to respond to other charitable causes in line with our objects.

The Society promotes and encourages the study of local history; it owns and manages the Leatherhead Museum, it maintains / curates artefacts for local parishes; and maintains the local history archives and records. It publishes historical materials; holds talks on local history; and encourages the preservation of buildings and sites of archaeological or historical interest in the district.

EDUCATIONAL NEEDS, ASSISTING STUDENTS ON TRIPS.

Involves young people in Beavers, Cubs and Scouts

The charity organises fundraising and social events for pupils and their families, including refreshment sales at school shows, pupil discos, and an annual summer fair. These activities raise funds to provide additional resources, equipment and opportunities for the benefit of all children at the school and in the community

Make grants to individuals on low income or suffering temporary financial hardship. Make grants to organisations providing services to children and the elderly in need.

The maintenance and improvement of Haling Grove Park, and the provision of additional facilities and equipment for play and recreation within the London Borough of Croydon

Promotes and stages chamber orchestra concerts which provide platform opportunities for promising young musicians both in ensemble and solo capacities. Performs some rare repertoire not often found outside London. Encourages young listeners with free admission. Provides a valuable cultural and educational service to the local community.

ENCOURAGE THE RE-USE OF DONATED CLEAN WASTE MATERIALS BY PROVIDING A DISTRIBUTION FACILITY AND THE PROMOTION OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION THROUGH ARTISTIC AND RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES TO CHARITABLE GROUPS WITHIN SOUTH LONDON AND NEIGHBOURING BOROUGHS.

To co-ordinate the work of Inner Wheel Clubs in district 14 in raising funds for home and overseas charities and providing service for those in need and fellowship to fellow members.

Local fundraising and support

We hold Fairs, Cake sales, Coffee Morning, Quizzes and general fundraising events for a small and friendly community school.

The choir performs a range of different songs which it performs to various groups in the local community. It does not audition for entry and the choir works hard to achieve a high standard for performance. Our two main concerts - at Christmas and in the Summer - usually raise significant sums for 3 local charities each year. As a result of the pandemic, no concerts were held in 2020 and 2021.

Provides Resources for Christian Charities in provision of residential and outdoor activities in UK and abroad

The Charity appoints the Governors of the School. The Governors assist in the strategic oversight of the school and where appropriate raising funds to support capital development of the school.
