A project based near Kisongo, Arusha, Tanzania. We have a textile centre providing training for local Maasai women so they can generate their own income. In addition there is a small nursery, and a classroom equipped with lap-tops providing support for local school children. A carpentry workshop is being built, which will provide training for local people, enhancing employment opportunities.

The charity gives grants to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment for the benefit of endangered or threatened species.

We are supporting other ministries in Africa. Main focus is preparing the congregants to be self sufficient in business (farming, exporting produce etc) and in their own personal lives. Some seminars have been held to this end.

TEST uses its funds to support educational projects in Tanzania.

The trust awards grants to charitable organisations at home and abroad which are working to help disadvantaged people.Applications are received from these organisations and are considered once a year by the trustees. The applications are short-listed and local opinion then sought as to which of the short-list are favoured. Usually four/five grants are awarded.

We work with local primary school teachers and children aged 5 to7 years old in Tanzania and Nepal. Through inservice, we model and demonstrate good maths teaching methods and strategies to teachers. Our aim is to provide training in the use of manipulatives in maths in order to strengthen teacher knowledge, understanding and teaching of the base ten number system and place value concepts.

The charity makes gifts primarily to Christian organisations, to Christian workers and to individuals in need.

(i) Relief of poverty and the improvement of life in all disadvantaged areas of the world, particularly Africa.(ii) Promote sustainable economic growth and regeneration(iii) Relief of unemployment(iv) To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote good health to those affected by (but not limited to) HIV/AIDS by the provision of goods/services of any kind including counselling.

We provide small grants to grass roots organisations and educational institutions in Tanzania and Malawi. The aim is to assist local communities to conserve the fragile habitats around upland streams, whilst also enhancing their livelihood opportunities. The grants are also designed to enable students and early career researchers in the two countries to gain practical experience in conservation.

At present, the main aim of the St. Jude Foundation is to raise funds for the building of a special school for handicapped or disabled children at Mporoto, near Mbeya in Tanzania (East Africa). We appeal periodically to our supporters for funds and give talks to encourage the fund-raising. The special school building is proceeding slowly but steadily.

Establish a mosque for worship for Muslims and Madrassah teaching Islamic education to children. the charity will relieve the financial hardship in countries as Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda by providing Food and water, Education, Healthcare, angLivelihoods.

The Rotary Club of Stone & District provides Community Service locally, nationally and internationally either by volunteering or by using funds contributed by members of the Club or by the general public. Such service may include educational grants, or grants to relieve poverty

We give support to persons with special needs in Nigeria and Ghana through training and school fees payment. We are also growing our membership and volunteers. We are planning for the Future Talks in school. A day Science Expo for the blind. And our December Hands on Science Camp and Charity fund raising event in Sheffield, and others. We are opening Charity Shops.

Uconnect from an office in the Ministry of Education of Uganda provides elearning and training to teachers in both primary and secondary schools.Uconnect provides elearning installed on computers to girls aged 8-13 in their homes in three adjacent low income areas of DAR ES Salaam and trains these girls to be e learning agents to family and neighbors.

HAZINA is working in close co-operation with the population of Bangalala, Tanzania on a variety of development projects.
