Charities In Telford & Wrekin

We are Masonic Lodge whose activities are for charitable purposes. We raise money and make grants each year to various good causes. The income shown in the return is that part which is designated for charity only. We have a separate general fund which is not included in the return.

To raise funds to purchase equipment and improve the school environment for the benefit of all pupils at Apley Wood Primary School.

We organise local sustainability events at community centres or other locations within Telford and Wrekin. We organise 'swaps' where the public can bring items to swap or can take items for a pay as you can donation, have an eco library, offer recycling facilities via Telford Terracycle. We invite other eco organisations and individuals to attend our events to share information/activities.

Provision of small sums, at the discretion of the trustees, to lower sixth form students resident in the parishes of Shifnal and Priorslee, both as constituted on 31st March, 1934, for furtherance of their education, e.g. purchase of books, field studies, attendance at courses, etc.

The Trust's purpose is to facilitate the placement of young adult volunteers from Lichfield diocese into one of our companion link (overseas) dioceses, and vice versa. The placements will be in churches or church-associated projects and typically for 6 to 12 months. Execution of the programme is managed by the Diocesan St Chad's Volunteer Programme Director.

The Bridge School Parent & Friends Association provide funds to the school for equipment and activities. We raise funds through raffles, fun days, lotteries

Lectures by visiting speakers & members. Field trips. Research on geological sites & building stones. Publish leaflets & books on sites, areas & walks of geological interest. Maintain a website.

The Charity provide opportunities for a variety of different groups of people primarily disable children to enjoy education, recreation, therapy and work experience covering not only all the activities that encompass farming, forestry, the natural environment and horticulture but also forest school, bushcraft, food production projects in the walled kitchen or sensory gardens.

Facilitating and organising Christian events and activities in the Unitary Authorities of Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin including an annual Prayer Breakfast

We hold an annual LGBTQ film festival during October with additional screenings to mark national events including World Aids Day, International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia and LGBT History month. We select films that entertain, educate, challenge (questioning complacency) and change (how others perceive and behave towards us and how we feel about ourselves).

To advise, lobby and campaign towards the protection, enhancement and provision of playing fields and play facilities in local communities. To promote play, sport, informal recreation and physical activity in local communities.

Donations to victims of crime who suffer financial hardship following the crime. Also help local community ventures.

Provide a building for local people to use for various activities

We raise awareness of practical issues related to climate change, particularly renewable energy, transport and textiles - including repairing clothes at the Telford Repair Cafe. We organise events to encourage local people to grow their own food from seed-saving to using the produce.
