The Society was formed in 1972 with the aim of educating the public in the dramatic and operatic arts and to develop public appreciation of these arts. Over 80 shows have been produced throughout this period. Shows and concerts are performed with the Telford Area with "The Place" (the theatre) being used to stage the major shows.

1. Through voluntary and partnership effort, develop and offer support services that meet the needs of those suffering from all forms of stress arising from their rural way of life.2. The charity's objectives are the conservation and enhancement of the natural beauty, landscape, wildlife and historic value of the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It awards grants to projects carried out by individuals and groups whose activities support these objectives. It is also concerned to advance understanding and awareness of the environmental value of the AONB.

To Manage the Sambrook Village Hall for the community. Raise funds from events, private hire or through grants to keep the hall in a good state of repair and to standards to meet the needs of its users

The charity maintains Little Wenlock Village Hall and Playing Field, which are used by people living locally. The village hall is used for meetings, lectures, classes and other forms of recreation or leisure time occupations. The playing field is an open access recreational area.

Newport Community First Responders respond to 999 call thats come in through the West Midland Ambulance Service Control room. We attend all kinds of medical and traumatic emergencies, as well as providing First Aid and Defibrillator Training Sessions in the local community.
