The object of the charity is to help relieve the suffering of people, including refugees from Burma/Myanmar, who have fled hardship and human rights abuses. IUSTI has organised a number of educational events promoting the uptodate management of STIs and genital conditions. The union has campaigned on behalf of patients to the UN and WHO and developed guidelines for the mangement of STI.The Union promotes research.
