PJAH holds two public Open Days each year, also fundraising events. Funds raised are put towards ensuring animals in the care of the Charity are happy and have a good quality of life. The objects of the charity are to promote the artistry and historic practices of goldsmithing, silversmithing, jewellery and allied crafts. A major activity is an annual competition awarding prizes in recognition of excellence in both design and making of jewellery and valuable objects.
