Provides advice/support to members and information to others. Supports the development of effective school libraries and librarians, literacy, reading for pleasure and information literacy. Publishes a range of appropriate titles as well as a quarterly reviewing journal. Runs day training courses and also an annual conference/weekend course. Supports 16 national, regional and local branches.

We provide information, support and training for parents, carers, teachers and individuals with PDA, we also work independently and in collaboration with other organisations to raise awareness and understanding of this profile of ASD.

Alstrom Syndrome UK provides information, family support and advice for individuals affected, their families, carers and professionals. We work closely with Birmingham Children's Hospital & Torbay Hospital to support the multi-disciplinary clinics for Alstrom patients. We raise money for research. We endeavour to raise awareness of Alstrom Syndrome. We provide a 24 hour answer-machine help-line.
