The Space Science and Engineering Foundation (SSEF) runs the UK Space Design Competition (UKSDC) and the Galactic Challenge (GC) ; both are engineering industry simulations, with the UKSDC aimed at students in Years 10 -13, and the GC for those in Years 5 - 9. Students design a futuristic space settlement, and combine imagination, STEM learning and business acumen, to be an 'Engineer for the day'.

The Foundation is named for the late General Secretary of the National Union of Teachers (England and Wales) who died suddenly in April 2008. It continues his work by promoting the Sustainable Development Goals for education by encouraging teachers worldwide to contribute their experience and expertise to projects which advance the achievement of these goals.

We aim to advance the Christian faith by publishing the distributing Bible courses for children and adults, and providing guidance and training to groups which use them. The courses are called Bibletime, Gleaners, and NewLife.
