The almshouses were sold, & a new development of 8 housing units at Abbeydale was completed in 1994. The 1993 CC Scheme widened the qualification for residence to any poor single lady members of the CofE

We take in donations from the general public and renovate some of the items in addition to cleaning prior to sale in one of our two shops. The charities and individuals who we support are those that can are most needy or urgent cases. Cases are referred by other Charities, Social Services or the Church. Every case is looked at separately and checks done to ensure the case is genuine.
