Children of Colombia raises funds for three selected charities involved with the education, care and welfare of poor, disadvantaged and sick children in Colombia and with environmental education in the Colombian Amazon by donations and events organised by supporters. Werneth Concert Band accepts as playing members any woodwind, brass or percussion player of reasonable minimum ability (grade IV-V). No auditions are held. Players benefit from the tuition, practice and experience from playing in a wind band. It successfully campaigns to end the sale of shark fin soup and other shark-derived products along with marine life at threat from over-fishing. It also operates campaigns to end the personal importation of shark fins and encourage the accurate reporting of sharks in the media.

The United Kingdom Falkland Islands Trust is dedicated to the assistance of the Falkland Islands and their population by conducting beneficial programmes of research and advice on agriculture, forestry, rural development and civic issues not normally funded by Government.
