THE TRUSTEES MAKE GRANTS FOR ITEMS OF EQUIPMENT AND ACTIVITIES WHICH DIRECTLY BENEFIT THE CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE (NOT RUNNING COSTS). IN EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES GRANTS MAY BE AWARDED TO INDIVIDUAL BENEFICIARIES. GRANTS ARE USUALLY BETWEEN £750 AND £3,000 AND ARE AWARDED IN JUNE AND DEC

The aim of the Trust is to give financial assistance to keen young horticulturists, and those new to horticulture, enabling them to further their knowledge of plants in the wild, or in gardens. This study could take any of the following forms - photography, painting, written observations, seed collecting or help with conservation projects, especially involving garden plants.

The Trust sponsors an annual lecture and its work is unique in that there is no similar lecture promoted in this way in the human rights field. It provides a special opportunity to enable a selected audience to meet and hear a talk on an important and topical subject of general interest

I'VE STARTED A DOCUMENTARY WITH WOMEN IN THE GAMBIA, ABOUT VICTIMS OF PREECLAMPSIA

The Trust does not respond to unsolicited applications but is focused upon beneficiaries identified via trustee research and experience in the UK and overseas. It seeks to establish long-term relationships, providing continuity of funding subject to the successful application of the initial grants and clear and concise reporting of progress and outcomes to the satisfaction of the Trustees.

The Sidney & Phyllis Krystal Foundation UK's general objects are to support vulnerable young people and their education. We do so by awarding donations to charities that fulfil our criteria through the work they do.
