KEYS operates a programme of integrated medical, spiritual and community support for individuals with alcohol and drug addiction. The programme is operated by teams comprising mostly of volunteers within churches. The team operates from a conviction that by this holistic approach, issues often at the root of addictions will be dealt with in such a way that relapse becomes much less likely.

The Hunchman is a grant-giving charity supporting people grieving the loss of a loved one, with a focus on suicide bereavement. We fund partner organisations providing early intervention and community support, and raise funds through endurance events, promoting resilience, awareness, and connection so no one faces grief alone.

Trust Leeds helps people to enterprise their way to a better future. We do this in three ways: 1) By nurturing a network of community Self-Reliant Groups (peer support groups to save, share & learn together).2) By energising Be Your Own Boss SRGs (programme for self-employment).2) Micro-finance (we invest small ethical loans for business purposes in people who are financially excluded).

UK Friends of ARSP supports the work of the German Peace Organisation Aktion Suhnezeichen Friedensdienste (Action Reconciliation Service for Peace) in the UK, in particular by supporting volunteers serving in England and UK volunteers serving abroad. Each year we host 12-15 volunteers for a 12 months voluntary services in England.

The church operates weekly Sunday worship services where the community meets to pray and worship God to advance their spiritual development with their maker. The service includes the study of the scriptures, prayer, singing, and listening to sermons. The church also performs communion and baptism services as part of worship. The Church spreads the gospel also through offering free counseling

Al-Haadiyah educates and supports individuals, so they develop into outstanding citizens with the highest level of spirituality, morality and social responsibility that will play a beneficial role in society leading to social peace and harmony.

Trustees' policy is to aid improvement of welfare to the elderly & in particular to support hospices for the elderly & their day centres, including assisting with capital projects from the Trust's capital. Trustees' interest is in smaller hospices where information about their work is already known to them or easily accessible & where grants are likely to make a significant difference to the work.

CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES MEETING THE NEEDS OF LOCAL PEOPLE

AFOT rescues abandoned, abused and street animals. We do this by placing the animal in an AFOT foster home where it stays for the four month minimum compulsory travel wait. We promote our dogs on our website and invite applications from members of the public. Thorough checks including home checks are carried out for suitability. The animals we help are predominantly from the SW of Turkey.

Activities include education/training and projects that work towards prevention or relief of poverty.

The Student View (TSV) is an education and media charity. We aim to create a newsroom in every school and our site offers young people a platform to share their world through words.
