Reading Lions is a local group of volunteers who aim to promote the health and wellbeing of the Reading community by improving the local environment, helping individuals in times of need, supporting Reading based community groups and local charities. T.A.P Assistance Dogs aim is to provide trained assistance dogs to children with ASD. All monied raised is used with the sole intention of procuring suitable puppies and then financing their training and support. The charities aim is to operate throughout the UK.

Our sponsorship programme involves providing financial assistance to girls whose families are unable to meet the financial costs.The mentoring scheme offers support and encouragement to the girls on the programme. It is a means of helping them to deal with and navigate every day life challenges. Our workshops aim to help nurture and empower girls, and equip them with knowledge and advice.

Providing both financial and practical support to persons in the local area who are vulnerable and/or in need. Financial grants are also made through LCIF outside of the local area in the event of major natural disasters .

The Charity runs a teacher training course in the North of England, to train teachers for Steiner schools, for the class teacher years. It issues a diploma at the end of the two year part time course. Many students from the current course are now teaching in Steiner Schools in the UK.13 students received their diploma in July 2010. 22 students are enrolled on the next course
