HCCT grew out of the King's Cross community's direct action to the problems and needs that they saw around them. Our projects may have grown but the ethos of everyone matters remains as strong as ever. We are driven by the belief that everyone has the right to define their own identity and be free to explore the full range of their potential.

The principal activity of the company in the year under review was that of advancement of Orthodox Jewish religious education, the relief of poverty sickness and infirmity among members of the Jewish faith and advancement of such other objects as are charitable according to English Law.

The objects of the charity are, in the spirit of Christian fellowship, and for the Public Benefit to provide for all people (but in particular for women): relief for those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage; education in particular by the provision of a range of courses, learning activities and educational resources.

The trust promotes its aims with the co-operation of UK charities such as The Jain Network, Jain Samaj Europe, Jain Sangha of Europe, Ahimsa for Quality of Life, Jain Academy, World Council of Jain Academies and interfaith organisations. The trustees have attended relevant international conferences/meetings and have made donations for relief of poverty, religious education & place of worship.

Our services allow us to provide intensive, targeted support to enable ex-offenders, homeless individuals, domestic abuse victims, people misusing substances and those recovering from mental health to have stable accommodation, develop independent living skills, access and maintain employment, education or training.
