WI Activities

The Gwent Baptist Association, part of the Baptist Union of Wales, seeks to provide fellowship, encouragement, opportunity for ministry and community outreach and an avenue of partnership among Baptist churches in its area. It gives prayerful, practical and financial support, training, advice and other resources for its churches and leaders.

The Welsh Sports Foundation will ensure that every individual child and young person in Wales is able to participate in sport, by relieving financial pressure, where this is a barrier to participation. In doing so, we will ensure no child is left on the side-lines.

To promote humane behaviour towards retired police dogs by providing financial assistance to the owners of retired police dogs who have charge of animals that are in need of appropriate care and attention by reason of sickness, poor circumstances or ill usage, including assistance to help with the general care of the animal should the owner unexpectedly suffer ill health or financial hardship.

Provides scouting for children and young people aged 6-14 years

The training, recreation, entertainment and social, moral and intellectual development of the inhabitants of the parish of Myddfai by the provision of a village hall auditorium, meeting place and community hub in the village of Myddfai.

The PTA hold activities to raise funds to enable the PTA to give grants to the school. These grants help to advance the education of pupils by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities and experiences not normally provided by the local education authority.

Horse Riding for children with disabilities.

Haemophilia Wales provided information, support and advocacy to everyone affected by Inherited Bleeding Disorders. We have representation on the All Wales Advisory Group and the Cross Party Group on Haemophilia and Contaminated Blood. We organise events for families to network and gain mutual support, we campaign on behalf of Haemophiliacs with contaminated blood.

General Charitable Purposes

Activities to raise money to provide additional educational equipment/services for children in the school

Charity runs the village hall at Llangeitho, Ceredigion.

The Guild is established for the purpose of advancing the education of the public by encouraging the understanding and appreciation of the music of composers of Welsh origin and of any nationality resident in Wales. The Guild will also encourage a high level of performance practice and foster awareness and observation of professional issues within Wales.

Activities concerned with Womens Institute - craft, books, walking, theatre, supporting local school etc.

Provide room for village activies

The hall is open daily to provide a meeting place and various activities for the Senior Citizens,it is also available to the general public to hold birthday parties or fund raising events.

Rocky Road Foundation aims to raise awareness of mental fitness and well-being in sporting communities through educating, mentoring and supporting.

Providing bursaries in memory of Saunders Lewis deceased

Financial support given to needy countries.

The objects of the charity are to promote general charitable purposes for the benefit of the community and surrounding areas, and in particular to provide, maintain and equip buildings, for the use of the community, for the purposes of education and recreation for the younger and older generation.
