Relief of the poor of the parish

The Charity was established in 1904 and was used to provide children's 'Johnson Tea' - an annual event at Payne's Cafe Royale until the mid 1960's. After being dormant for some years, the Town Council arranged with the Charity Commissioners for a new scheme to regulate the Trust. It is now used to relieve hardship amongst local school children up to the age of 13, under certain conditions.

IN THE LAST FINANCIAL YEAR VALMOS HAS BEEN ABLE TO DONATE ·1000 FOR THE PURCHASE OF MOSQUITO NETS IN RWANDA - THROUGH THE AUSPICES OF 'RWANDA RESTOREDã LEAVING ·1118 IN THE 'KITTYã. A FURTHER FUND RAISING MAILING IS PLANNED DURING 2009.

PRIZES FOR SCHOOL PUPILS

The charity helps provide relief of poverty for other charities and voluntary bodies.

The interest from the capital invested is distributed annually in December to senior citizens in the parish who apply and to one special needs person.

The income of the Fund is to be used for the provision of prizes for students attending the course in agriculture organised by the Pembrokeshire Education Committee.

The charity makes a small donation to a number of individuals in the parish, either the elderly or those suffering ill health at christmas time. People can also apply for a grant either for themselves or on someone's behalf should they wish.

The objects of the charity are furthering charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabitants of Aberfan (further details are set out in clause 27 of the scheme of the 14th December 1988).

We aim to provide a series of concerts/recitals/illustrated talks for public performance, given by choirs/musicians/speakers/actors, whose work is of a high standard and the best that we can afford to pay.

The Trust aims to collect and collate all the manuscripts of composer Mansel Thomas, and bring into publication as many as possible of these, so that performers, scholars and members of the public may be able to access the works for study and / or performances.

Beacon of Hope Cwmbran is a Christian church. Its main activities is evangelism and worldwide missions, as well as caring for believers within the UK.

Represent, safeguard and promote the welfare of Children involved in Family Court Proceedings. Provide Supported and Supervised Contact services across South Wales.

We essentially exist for the propogation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Wales, Great Britain and the world through evangelism. We distribute Bibles & Gospel literature.

* To promote deaf and hard of hearing persons in Wales in particular by encouraging amateur golf for such persons.* To organise coaching for deaf/hard of hearing players and Junior players.* To promote tournaments and international golf for deaf/hard of hearing players.

BHR has returned from a trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo, were it collaborated with a local school. The school is made up of four main walls using scrap metal and some sheets, the children learn on the floor, together we have agreed to sponsor 35 children allowing them to gain education. We will now focus on reconstructing the school so the children will have a safe environment to learn.

We are a new charity working for the prevention or relief of poverty in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We provide or assist in the provision of education, training, housing , healthcare projects and all the necessary support designed to enable individuals to generate a sustainable income and be self-sufficient. We are focusing on lives of vulnerable children and women in Congo.................

Providing a national voice for School Governors in Wales

The Charity's objects are to promote any charitable purpose for the health and benefit by the advancement of education, the protection and preservation of health and the relief of poverty and distress in particular, but without limitation for the benefit of the community in South East Wales.

Organise a series of events to promote Welsh History - both live and digital events throughout September and October each year.
