Abacus provides affordable counselling sessions in Essex, to clients referred to the service. It spends its money on providing counselling services, such as through room hire. It pays expenses to its volunteer counsellors and counselling supervision. It pays other costs associated with running a charity, such as salary to to part time managers, marketing, accounting services, insurance etc.

The Essex Birdwatching Society exists to promote for the benefit of the public, conservation, education, knowledge and protection in relation to wild birds in the ceremonial County of Essex, including the areas of unitary authorities and in the London Boroughs of Barking, Havering, Newham, Redbridge and Waltham Forest.

Necessities UK provides adults and children with emergency food parcels to those in need. Necessities UK provides support in two ways to help our beneficiaries. Firstly, through our emergency response to provide food parcels to meet an immediate need and secondly through practical support that helps us to stop the cycle of poverty and hunger in our beneficiaries lives.

Scout & Guide Group

Queen's Jubilee Award for Voluntary Service in 2007. Partnership-English Heritage for Heritage Open Days since 2008. Founder, Peter Hewitt, awarded the MBE in the Queen's Birthday honours in 2010. Working on delivering projects funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund during 2015-2018 including Tilbury memories, the Windrush event to 3000 people and a local christmas lights/ childrens performance.

Scouting exists to actively engage & support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society. As Scouts we are guided by our values - Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief & Co-operation. Scouting takes place when young people, in partnership with adults, work together based on the values of Scouting.

Basildon Orthodox Church promotes the Orthodox Christian faith through the provision of the Divine Liturgy and other forms of regular worship, prayer and instruction in the Orthodox Christian life in Basildon and the surrounding areas. The charity benefits the public through the relief of poverty, sickness and distress through the provision of prayer, funds and spiritual guidance.

We currently have around 100 members from six to fifteen years of age drawn from the local area. With membership open to all irrespective of sex, ethnicity, faith, or disability.Our aim is; To promote the development of young people to achieve their full potential, physically, intellectually, socially, spiritually, and to become responsible citizens.

Orsett Scout Group provides scouting activities for those aged 6 to 14 within the area of the Villages of Orsett and Bulphan, Essex.

TOPS on Stage provide management and find raising support to Thurrock Operatic Society in order that local citizens may enjoy all forms of musical theatre. The fund raising efforts of the charity help to support the broad challenges and opportunities in musical theatre making participation and viewing accessible by all. The advancement of education for the public benefit. The relief pf poverty for those in need in the UK and overseas as the trustees decide.

SCOUT AND GUIDE GROUP

Relieving physical and mental abuse of animals and offering a permanent home to those deemed in immediate danger of being discarded, neglected or destroyed. To obtain any veterinary care required and to work with the animal rebuilding their confidence and health in order that they may enjoy a peaceful life with friends of their own kind in a secure, loving and knowledgeable environment.

A primary school PTA raising funds to improve the opportunities and school experiences of all of our school community via internal fundraising events.

The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts meet weekly for a range of opportunities and balanced programme that scouting provide.
