General charitable purposes

We are a christian church based organisation.We provide support and advise, empower young people through diferent activities/ trainingsWe offer volunteering opportunities. We support the eldery members of the community. We encourage the fellowship and unity of all members of the community through the advancement of christian religion. We organise seminars, workshops and conferences.

The provision of safe, clean water supplies, improved sanitation and hygiene education to the communities of south-west Uganda; principally in the districts of Rukungiri and Kanungu.The charity provides financial, advisory and allied support to an outstanding team of local experts based in Rukungiri.

To relieve persons, whether or not they are resident or temporarily located in Uganda, United Kingdom, India or any other countries agreed by the Trustees, but in particular widows and children who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress as a result of local, national or international disaster or by reason of their social and economic circumstances,To further the education of students.

Financially assisting Rukungiri Modern Primary School, SW Uganda, and other linked educational establishments by sponsorship and fundraising.

We train and provide in school support to teachers in methods to develop good practice in teaching and learning. We currently run an Achievement Award linked to the training we provide, a Lead Teacher Programme for future sustainability and an Early Reading Programme.

Supporting the BUILD training initiative. (BUILD stands for 'Biblical Understanding for In-service Leadership Development'). BUILD is a locally grown grassroots church leadership training initiative of the Anglican Church of Uganda, which has spread to neighbouring Anglican provinces, including Kenya and Tanzania. We encourage that growth and development with small grants, expertise, and visits.

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS AT THE RAY OF HOPE SCHOOL, UGANDA BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES (NOT REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY) FOR EDUCATION AT THE SCHOOL AND TO ASSIST IN SUCH WAYS AS THE THE CHARITY TRUSTEES THINK FIT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.

Adara Development is an international development organisation focussed on improving health and education for women, children and their communities living in poverty. We are experts in maternal, newborn and child health; remote and rural community development. We have delivered services in Uganda and Nepal since 1998. We are also registered as a charity in Australia, the US and Bermuda.

Provision, maintenance & advancement of education for the disadvantaged children of Kampala, Uganda.

We provide free swimming lessons and drowning prevention education to underprivileged children who live along the earth's open water: rivers, lakes and oceans.

The Charity is established to support trainee healthcare workers throughout their education so that they can perform to the best of their ability, to add to the absolute numbers of health workers in training, to target those who are under represented in the health profession and to raise awareness of the different conditions facing health professionals worldwide.
