The EJN works with journalists and others in Europe (W. Balkans & Turkey), China, Africa and the Middle East to improve media ethics, good governance and self-regulation to address misinformation and abusive forms of public communications. We are active in European and global discussion on media policy to combat misinformation and propaganda and to promote ethical discourse in the public sphere.

To proclaim and further the Gospel of God by the prevention or relief of poverty, through assisting Schools and Churches to facilitate mission expeditions.

Fund-raising to provide access to education, healthcare and a home for disadvantages/orphaned children in Uganda. Due to legislative change in Uganda, all children now settled with relatives / carers. We maintain all previous commitments to education, healthcare and are now extending support to their relatives eg rent and the wider community eg food packages during covid.

We believe that every girl deserves menstrual dignity, meaning access to education about menstruation, access to pads, and freedom from stigmas and taboos surrounding menstruation.

The charity provides funding for the training of doctors and medical personnel in developing countries in Africa, Asia, Central America and South America

Grant-making in accordance with charity objects

To advance the education and enhance the life opportunities of children living in poverty in and around Kampala, Uganda, in particular, but not exclusively by provision of financial support.

The East Africa Charitable Trust makes grants to charitable Christian organisations based in East Africa.

Eye Care Services

We give small grants to medical and educational projects worldwide . We favour projects which do not attract funding from major charities. We do not fund gap year projects.

TCS supports young people in northern Uganda who have been affected by exposure to armed conflict, in order to relieve poverty and mental distress and promote well-being. In 2022/23 we worked with over 170 families, providing support through grants for school fees and small businesses; and advice and befriending. We have also provided help with medical costs to over 250 children and adults.

The objective of the Ruth Vines Trust is to provide funds to advance the Christian religion inany part of the world. The charity responds to requests for grant assistance, assessing these on the basis of their suitability in light of the charity's objectives

Heartbeat Africa is a Christian charity with the primary goal of demonstrating the practical love of Christ to those in need, with a particular focus on East Africa. Our mission is to 'transform and empower' the lives of those who have often been forgotten or rejected by society.

The Li Tim Oi Foundation provides grants for Anglican women in the two-thirds world to train for Christian work in their own countries.

THE RELIEF AND CURE OF DEFECTS AND DISEASES AFFECTING THE EYES AND VISION OF PEOPLE WORLDWIDE

Publicising the plight of orphaned children in Uganda amongst various church communities and raising funds to sponsor individual children to support their education and basic living needs.

The Paul Hodges Trust provides grants to small charities working to tackle poverty in sub-saharan Africa.

Community-led initiatives to improve the quality of life for people in economically disadvantaged communities around the world; raising awareness, and developing solutions to the social, environmental and economic concerns of these communities; seeking out funding for sustainable projects that will improve their quality of life, whilst advancing the appreciation of different cultures globally

Time Out Mission assists better quality of life especially for poor peoples of the world. This is through training and support of agricultural and business forums. These forums encourage a greater sense of community and helping one another, as well as the means to provide education and training in low cost, effective practical farming techniques, which are accessible to even the poorest peoples.

The main areas of activity are:- sustainable grant-making through partnerships with grass-roots non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in Africa;- Education and development programmes (website, programme tour/safari, programme conference and newsletter);- Research/ fact-finding site visits to Africa.

LCN provides Health, Social Care and Social Support, Advice, Information and Advocacy, Counselling/Psychosocial Care, International Development, Sponsor or Undertake Research, social Event and activities, umbrella body, Education, Training and Employment, Enviromnetal and Climate Change, Lobbying and Campaign and Volunteer Recruitment and Development in the London Area and Northern Ugandan Region.

The Truan Trust offers support to young people to receive an education in Uganda. Funding is provided to assist youngsters to obtain an education who do not have any family support, such as orphans through AIDS, or where the family can only offer part support e.g. children of peasant farmers. At present most support is given to students studying at secondary or in post-secondary education.

Health promotion activities, education & training

Operating in Nebbi Catholic Diocese, Uganda, we pay secondary school fees and maintenance allowance for disadvantaged students attending Secondary Schools in the diocese. We also fund capital works for primary and secondary schools including security fences and solar lighting. In times of crisis, we provide relief and assistance to people in need including food, clothing and other necessities.
