THE GROUP OPERATES BEAVER, CUB AND SCOUT SECTIONS, FOR YOUNG CHILDREN AGED 6 TO 14 YEARS, OFFERING WIDE RANGE OF INDOOR AND OUTDOOR BASED ACTIVITIES.

Voice delivers projects with children and young people aimed at helping them to explore and express the Christian faith and grow in their musical skills. We run school and community projects, local music groups, larger Junior Choir and Voice Youth Choir & Orchestra ensembles, songwriting courses and music residentials. We are based in the North West but connect with people from across the country.

The Group is part of the Scout Organisation, which aims to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential. The Group endeavours to fulfill this aim by providing an enjoyable programme of training and activities based on the Scout Promise and Law and guided by adult leadership.

The relief of persons in need resident in the area of benefit who are sick, convalescent, disabled or infirm by relieving their suffering or assisting their recovery.

to provide scouting for young people from the age of 6 to 14 to contribute to thier development to help them become self-reliant, responsible and caring citizins. We do this by offering the scout programme of activities and challenges from culture, health and faith.

The charity educates the public in operatic and dramatic arts by performing mixed music concerts and a full stage show

To further or benefit the residents of Birchwood and neighbourhood, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of welfare for recreation and leisure.

Teaching young people the values and behaviour associated with Scouting activities.

Fund raising for school

The Friends of St Wilfrid's School raises funds which are used by St Wilfrid's School to purchase additional resources for use by children associated with the school. Activities include the organisation of discos, film nights and skating at the school; family discos and a Summer Ball at local venues, and the school Summer Fair which forms part of the activities for the Grappenhall Walking Day.

To advance the education of the public in the principles and philosophies of Buddhism and to advance the Buddhist faith through teaching, study, practice and observance of the traditions of all schools of Buddhism.

The objectives of the charity are to promote the education of persons of the Christian Faith in theology and social sciences both theoretical and practical having regard to the principles of Josephine Butler

Our activities for the year are planned towards the end of the previous year by the Trustees with consideration of the Commission's guidance on public benefit and, in particular, the specific guidance on charities for the advancement of religion. During the year being reported we have held regular activities all of which are open to the public as well as church members.

(B) PROVISION OF RECREATIONAL AND LEISURE TIME ACTIVITIES BASED ON THE PERFORMING ARTS.(2) TO PROMOTE THE ARTS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, IN PARTICULAR THE DRAMATIC AND OPERATIC

The Charity oversees the ongoing maintenance and improvement of Oughtrington Community Centre and a programme of activities for delivery in the Community Centre.It also works with other charities and organisations for the benefit of local people.

We hold events and activities within our school and local village to raise funds for purchases within our school.

Cadishead Public Band fulfils the following objectives to the public's benefit: a) provides premises in which musical tuition, rehearsals and related functions can occurb) provides free brass band instruments and uniforms and tuition, c) offers membership to all, d) organises concerts and musical events for the enjoyment of all and e) supports local organisations in their activities.

The Charity has retained the premises now known as Newchurch Parish Hall, and uses them for education and instruction. It also lets the premises to various people and organisations, making charges to defray the cost.

Scout Group.

Haydock Male Voice Choir is a 60+ strong choir which sings to entertain audiences; support charities in fund raising & for the individual pleasure and education of its members. It operates from St. Helens within a 25 mile radius, but also to other destinations within the UK as well as occasional trips abroad.

Raises funds through specific annual events including Easter Duck Race, Bonfire Night and Beer Festival. Promotes the community and makes charitable grants to organisations and individuals.

Relief of poverty in the world. Supporting local charitable organisations. Grants to individuals to support specific projects.
