The museum will advance the education of the public with regard to the evolution of policing in the County of Cheshire from it's inception in 1857 to present day. This will be achieved by collecting, preserving and documenting material, evidence and associated information relevant to the Cheshire Police, and the earlier parts of County and Borough Forces which have amalgamated with it.

The aim of the Friends of Westbrook Old Hall Primary School is to actively raise funds to enhance our children's education and to provide opportunities to strengthen the school community. We do this by hosting a range of fundraising events and schemes at the school.

Groups that use the centre, old time dancing, gateway club, keep-fit, active living, messey monsters, physibodies, jujitsu, ballet, street dance, mums & tots, lins-holiday club, first aid, aerobics, baby massage, eyff training.

The Charity gives small grants to local voluntary and community groups in Warrington. Applications for grant-aid are sought from small, often struggling Warrington based charitable activities throughout the year by formal and informal means, and grants distributed three times a year.

All activities are held at the school. We run fundraiser events with games, stalls, food and drink, raffles. We run bingo events and discos. Money raised helps to benefit the children at school through fun or educational experiences, play resources and equipment the school needs to improve, help or enhance their learning.

Provision of workshop activities for people recovering from serious illness, to help rebuild self-confidence and self-esteem and to provide a drop-in centre. Includes woodturning, joinery, simple computer use, and other crafts where suitable instructors are available.

To advance the study of ornithology and public education in ornithology and related matters through bird-ringing in Merseyside and district.

Support the school to meet commitments relating to being part of Liverpool Archiocese. Support to Governors of school in meeting contributions towards building costs. General support to school and students

Education of the public through the publication of monographs and editions of documents concerned with Lancashire and Cheshire for the purpose of furthering knowledge of their history.

Liverpool U3A, a branch of the University of the Third Age, is a self-help co-operative learning charity for people no longer in full time employment, using the knowledge, experience and skills of its members to organise specialist educational, creative and leisure interest groups and monthly general meetings with guest speakers.

Organises a series of 7 concerts per year at St Thomas' Church, Stockton Heath. The music is mostly classical but can include jazz, opera and other genres.

In the operative area: to advance public education in ornithology and related matters; to promote the recording, research and study of birds and other wildlife; to support and encourage the preservation, conservation and study of wild birds and places of ornithological interest; to protect these from injury, ill-treatment or destruction; to collate, maintain and publish recorded results.

Pilkington Choir members meets each Tuesday to learn and rehearse a wide range of music. We perform in 4 part harmony (SATB). We arrange to perform at concerts, weddings and funerals during the year and work at rehearsals to prepare for these events.We meet at Willowbrook Hospice the Living Well, Borough Road, St Helens, WA10 3RN.Rehearsals start at 7.30 and last for 2 hours.

The Scout Association provides adventurous activities and personal development opportunities for young people aged 6-25

The Trust organises educational visits and lectures, undertakes research into existing and lost gardens and parks, comments upon planning issues affecting designed landscapes, produces a quarterly newsletter. It is undertaking a project bringing the information on the Caldwell Nurseries of Knutsford to the public.

Raise funds to assist with purchasing equipment for the primary school - Christmas & Summer Fair, Discos during term-time, Charity clothes collection, Refreshments Sale at events such as Sports day.

Campaigning to preserve, conserve and restore the Sankey Canal, to build a new link to the national waterway network and to promote and stimulate public interest in and usage of the canal.

Education and help within the community

The charity's main aim is to raise additional funds for use by the school to benefit the children. This is done by organising fund-raising events during the school year and taking part in community events.

We have an exhibition of Nicolai Legats caricatures & drawings which goes out on tour 'To advance the education of the public in the life and teachings of Nicholai Legat (1969-1937) and Johansson-Legat system of classical ballet. To train dancers and teachers in the foundation's system and graded examinations..To financially support students for further ballet education..
