The Charity's activities centre around educational, social and pastoral work in addition to supporting the work of the Sisters overseas in areas of greatest need associated with the under privileged, the vulnerable and the deprived. Such activities spring from the original purpose of the Congregation which was to bring good news to the poor.

Physical, psychological, social and spiritual dimensions are addressed in equal balance for each individual within the context of their family. Patients may experience help from home care, day care, in-patient care, hospital support, lymphoedema care or home nursing.

Morthyng operates in South Yorkshire, the Wirral and Northamptonshire engaging and supporting young people in NEET and unemployed adults. The learners are the most disadvantaged in society. We address their functional skills, personal and social development needs, support them to gain qualifications in their vocational area, and enhance their skills towards gaining sustainable employment.

The RSN comprises three core activities; the Education programme, the Collection and the Studio. These three activities are integrally linked; Studio staff teach on the courses; students work in the Studio; students work on items from the Collection and the collection informs work in the Studio and the courses.
