As a civic amenity society, founded in 1981, we comment on local planning and civic affairs. We hold regular monthly meetings for members and arrange frequent trips to places of interest. Our Heritage Centre, opened in 2000, shows several exhibitions a year on aspects of local history. To provide a centrally located venue (Wootton Wawen Village Hall) available for hire to community based groups. Examples of which are, Wootton Wawen Playschool, Dance and drama groups, Parish Council meetings, St Peter's Youth Club and private parties and celebrations

A Parent Teachers Association, whose aim is to advance the education of the pupils of Thorns Community Infant School by:- providing and assisting provision of facilities for education at the school,- fostering and extending relationships between pupils, parents and staff and- engaging in activies which support the school.This is achieved mainly by holding fundraising events and activites.

Last Chance Coventry Ferret Rescue promotes humane behaviour towards ferrets, providing them with a haven to provide appropriate care, treatment, rehabilitation and neutering. Once they are ready, we then find suitable homes to live the rest of their lives in. We also promote, and educate, the public in ferret welfare, husbandry and how they make ideal pets.

Musical concerts and supporting young people in the Arts

Small grants to individuals living in the Sandwell, Staffordshire and Warwickshire area, for the relief of need or education. Requests will usually only be considered if received through an organisation such as CAB, or housing, social care or education bodies

Fundraising for the school through organised events for the enjoyment of the family & friends of the school such as Discos, Summer Fete, Christmas Bazaar, Bingo nights, Annual Quiz and our Summer Camp Weekend.
