Kennet Opera is an amateur organisation operating in West Berkshire, which provides a vehicle for members of the local community, of all ages, to experience all aspects involved in the staging and performing of classical opera, whilst helping to develop & support aspiring professionals. We are a parent run charity whose aim is to support families of hearing impaired children. We run activity days, parties, trips and support parents in learning sign language.

Hazie Days supports children and young people who have special educational needs and long term health problems; and their families. Hazie days providesactivities that are inclusive to all taking into account the individual needs of children; supportive environments for families to seek advise; arts, crafts, games and fun; all to Reduce isolation for children and young people and families.

Supporting local Charities with a bias towards the young and elderly.

The CECA operates and manages two squash courts in Sonning Common. The surplus income is donated at four monthly intervals by the management committee to individuals and organisations with the aim of promoting social and educational development.

East Garston Village Hall is at the heart of the parish. It provides space and amenity for a number of local activities including: toddlers groups, film club, games nights, quiz nights, community lunches and dances, theatre, bowls, bazaars etc. It is available for hire to all members of the parish and local communities

For the benefit of the residents of the civil parish of Boxford, West Berkshire and its adjoining parishes, the charity researches and provides information about local heritage, including archaeological excavations, exhibitions, talks and guided walks; as well as free admission to heritage assets, artefacts, photographs and records. The involvement of local schools and colleges is welcome.
