The purpose of the Foundation is to support the recovery of children with burn injuries. In doing so, the Foundation is uniquely placed in that it does not act as a direct provider of support to such children but instead works with different partnerships (including volunteers, health workers, health and fire services and research bodies).

Providing support within the community of Aspull

We are one church, with two buildings providing worship & prayer meetings & social activities. Facilities are used by many people from toddlers to seniors. We offer practical help to the local community in many areas of need. We have been at Cooke Street Bryn since 1987 and at the Bethel, Hindley Green since 1993. We amalgamated and adopted the joint name of Cornerstone Family Church on 18/11/2018

Grit Street Aid provides mobile assistance to around 50 rough sleepers and homeless each week throughout Greater Manchester. We offer help to people where they live on the street, providing food, clothing, and other basic essentials. We also advocate for our service users, in conjunction with the Street Support Network, and we hope to provide our service users with better access into services.

We support individuals with learning disabilities to play an active role in the community through partaking in life skills activities.Wigan STARS supports the training of our volunteers and members in first aid, food hygiene, safeguarding, equality and diversity amongst many others.We undertake a large variety of activities in both leisure & educational purposes within the local community.

We provide alternative therapies at reduced cost to people affected by Multiple Sclerosis their families and carers, we also provide support by providing clear and concise information to enable people to make the the best of their life with Multiple Sclerosis.

The charity educates the public in operatic and dramatic arts by performing mixed music concerts and a full stage show

THE CHARITY PROVIDES AND MANAGES A COMMUNITY CENTRE AND CAFE IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A MEETING PLACE FOR ALL USER GROUPS WITHIN SHAKERLEY AND SURROUNDING AREAS. IT'S OBJECTS ARE TO IMPROVE THE LIFE OF THE COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING FACILITIES AND RESOURCES THAT ENHANCE THE EDUCATION, SOCIAL WELFARE AND LEISURE ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE COMMUNITY.

Lilford District Scout Council operates within the Policy, Organisation and Rules of the Scout Association. It encompasses 11 Scout Groups and 5 ESUs within the District covering Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorer and Network scouts. Total head count for the District is 745 including 622 young people (age range 5-18) and 123 leaders and helpers including District Administration.

Service organisation providing help and support to the needy in our society.

We promote scouting activities within a structured progressive award system. Focus is on team work, leadership, personal development and community awareness. We encourage outdoor activities ie in the form of camping & pursuits such as orienteering etc.

Religious ceremonies, including birth, marriages and death ceremonies. Religious & cultural education. Educate local & other communities about Sikh religion & culture tradition. Celebrate Sikh festivals. Sports & social recreation etc.

Provide bingo three times a week for locals. Dog training classes every fortnight. White ensign assoc every fortnight. Drama classes for children. Band practice nights.

The provision of benefits for the inhabitants of Platt Bridge, Wigan and the surrounding areas, without distinction of sex, religion, political or other opinions, by association with local authorities, voluntary organisations and local inhabitants. The charity promotes advancement of education for public benefit, and provides facilities for recreation and leisure.

FUNDING CONCERTS, CONTRIBUTION TO THE COST OF THE PRODUCTION OF CD'S AND SUPPORTING CHILDREN UNDERGOING EDUCATION IN SPECIALIST MUSICAL ESTABLISHMENTS.

Greater Manchester Churches Together sustains and supports ecumenical developments at, local, parish, Borough and Regional level. The work involves Local Ecumenical Partnerships ,with over 100 Churches Together Groups and meetings of Church Leaders.

We try to give children experience of a range of outdoor and adventurous activities as well as some indoor ones like swimming, music, computing and collecting.

The Foundation awards grants to students who are under 25 and are resident in the Wigan Metropolitan Borough.

The objectives of the charity are to promote the education of persons of the Christian Faith in theology and social sciences both theoretical and practical having regard to the principles of Josephine Butler

Our area of activity is shown at Trafford because we share the same address as Martin Luther Kirche charity number 1092327 and we are the resource body for this charity. Our classification is mainly indirect, the majority of our grants are channelled directly to 1092327 thus enabling them to provide funds in line with their own classification. (344 boxes).
