Sacred Heart RC Primary School in Atherton, Wigan is a small, voluntary aided Catholic school. The Friends of Sacred Heart Association is a dedicated team of parents and supporters who work hard all year round to raise much needed additional funds to benefit the children.

The storage, preservation and rectification of buses principally designed, developed and operated by the Selnec PTE, GMPTE and G.M. buses covering the Greater Manchester area many examples of which were built in Wigan.

We provide classes to teach Scottish Country Dancing as both a healthy and social activity for the enjoyment of all, together with organising dances for both beginners and more advanced dancersThe Branch also organises demonstrations to promote and encourage Scottish Country Dancing as a healthy enjoyable activity, as well as its music.

Our charity is for the companionship, education & social gathering of women in this community. We are also quite willing to undertake other tasks for the benefit of our community. We monitor the health and wellbeing of our members particularly the elderly ones and provide contact and emotional support.

HOBY UK organises residential seminars and one-day workshops for young people, led by young people. We improve their life-outcomes by developing their self-awareness and self-esteem, building their confidence and providing them with leadership skills. We empower and motivate them to become involved in positive social action in their community.

The FOWMS are committed to fostering an inclusive environment through music education. Through our work in the community, we offer practical and financial support to music initiatives that inspire ambition and enable young people to realise their full potential. We cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborate with our supporters to promote the case for sustained investment in music education.

We prepare drivers to take the IAM's Advanced Driving Test by providing 4 Advanced Driving Courses each year. These consist of classroom sessions and practical guidance on the roads. We provide displays to publicise our courses. We work with and have the active support of the police and local authority to improve road safety. We contribute to articles about road safety issues in the local press.

The charity exists solely to provide ministry at Park Lane Unitarian Chapel. The income from the Park Lane Chapel Estate may be used for no other purpose.

The object of the charity is the relief of poverty, in particular but not exclusively, of people living in Greater Manchester and the surrounding area, through providing period packs containing menstrual hygiene products to food banks, shelters and other services used by people experiencing poverty and by raising awareness about period poverty and the wider social impact of the same.

To improve literacy and the love of learning, BETA is committed to researching local history. Access to this research will be in printed books and digital formats. We provide a radio service for hospitals, residential homes and similar institutions, and for patients receiving community care to aid the relief of sickness, poor health and old age amongst people living in Wigan and its surrounding areas; and to advance the promotion of the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle for public benefit. This is done from our studio at Wrightington Hospital

The Child Contact Centre, which is run by volunteers, provides a friendly, safe, comfortable, neutral venue where children can meet family they don't live with and enjoy time together with them.
