Heritage Tramcar restoration and running of restored vehicles within Heaton Park in Manchester, run solely by volunteers. Maintaining heritage tramway infrastructure and undertaking restoration works on tramcars originally built from 1880 onwards.

We hold various fund raising activities in school, e.g. raffles, sponsored events, coffee mornings, summer fair. The funds raised go towards purchasing new equipment for the children, funding trips and visitors to school, e.g. authors, artists, health and well being workshops, musical experiences, etc...

General Charitable Activity

Initially, Mount Zion is a church based in Wigan and Zimbabwe. The congregation do assist those who seem to be in need of support, such as failed asylum seeker. In Zimbabwe we mainly focus on children who are suffering from various types of learning difficulties, such as fatal anti-convulsing syndrome, autism and many more, also we consider orphans. Donations only come from our church members.

TO MAKE GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS

To relieve emotional distress through providing low cost, self-referred counselling to adults on low income, young people & children who, through lack of means would otherwise be unable to access such support. Based in South Manchester. Clients self refer via 24hour answerphone. 35 voluntary counsellors offer sessions 7 days per week. Appointment only.
