WE ARE AN EVANGELICAL CHURCH AND FRIENDLY CHURCH, WELCOMING ANYONE WHO WANTS TO FOLLOW, OR FIND OUT WHAT IT MEANS TO KNOW AND FOLLOW JESUS CHRIST. WE SEEK TO RELIEVE PERSONS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED OR HARDSHIP, OR AGED OR SICK, AND TO RELIEVE THE DISTRESS. THESE ACTIVITIES FULFIL THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CHARITY, AS STATED IN THE TRUST DEED, WHICH ARE TO FURTHER THE CHRISTIAN FAITH.

' We Serve ' - to create and foster a spirit of understanding among all people for humanitarian needs by providing voluntary services through community involvement and international cooperation.

WDDA aims to offer a range of services, not provided by other organisations, to ensure that deaf, deafened and hard of hearing people enjoy equal access, opportunity and have the same independence as hearing people.

Various activities have been undertaken during the year to raise funds for the charity These include a Christmas Fayre, Summer Fayre, Sponsored Bounce, Sponsored Swim, Discos and various raffles.

To maintain and manage a village hall for the long term benefit of all inhabitants of Hale and surrounding areas, without discrimination. To promote the village hall for social inclusion, welfare and education purposes as a community hub for all.

The Calne Link Scheme is a totally voluntary organisation that provides help in the form of care and transport for those in the local community who need it. People who through age or infirmity are unable to access hospitals, doctors surgeries or shops by their own means or by public transport are driven by the link scheme which also carries out shopping and provides companionship.

The Max Carey Woodturrning Trust's object is to advance the education of the public in the subject of woodturning. It achieves this by providing fully equipped workshop facilities, structured courses and tuition.

The 1RHA Trust Fund promotes the efficiency of 1st Regiment Royal Horse Artillery.

The Caenhill Countryside Centre charity is a project that operates as a rural learning centre. It supports children, young people and communities where they can learn outside working with animals, agriculture, horticulture and rural skills and crafts. It helps young people on their pathways forward for their chosen skills, activities and future life and community groups to help support and learn

Provides transport for medical appointments using cars of its volunteer drivers.

The activities of the Charity are for the furtherance of such charitable purposes as the Trustees think fit.

Making grants and donations

Provision of a Village Hall in the community of Holt including organisation of entertainment and fund-raising events.

Maintaining the fabric of the Church of St Martin, the Church Hall and for other charitable purposes.

The SWGP provides a Ministry Training Course based at St Bart's Church, Bath. This one or two year course aims to equip those who want to be able to teach the Bible and serve in ministry more effectively. The SWGP also co-ordinates a number of other events throughout the year, including the Bristol Men's Convention, Bible teaching and training days and youth-oriented events.

THE FUND DISTRIBUTES GRANTS TO LOCAL COMMUNITY PROJECTS SEEKING TO REDUCE CARBON EMISSIONS OR TACKLE FUEL POVERTY IN THE DEFINED AREAS. APPLICATIONS FROM PROJECTS IN THE VICINITY OF BATH & WEST COMMUNITY ENERGY (BWCE) PROJECTS ARE PARTICULARLY WELCOME. BWCE DONATES ITS SURPLUS PROFITS TO THE FUND, GENERATED FROM THE DEVELOPMENT OF ITS COMMUNITY OWNED RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECTS.

(i) To advance the education of the public in West Wilts and its surrounding locality and in particular the education of middle aged and older people who are not in full time gainful employment(ii) The provision of facilities for leisure time and recreational activities with the object of improving the conditions of life for the above persons in the interests of their social welfare

OPPORTUNITIES TO SOCIALISE WITH OTHER YOUNG PEOPLE AND ACTIVITIES ORGANISED WITHIN A SAFE ENIRONMENT AS PER SCOUTING RULES

To provide homes for the elderly who are in necessitous circumstances and who were either born in the Borough of Marlborough or who have resided there for at least ten years.

The Mount Pleasant Centre manages a community centre in Bradford on Avon, with three rooms for hire to individuals, social, health and community groups. In addition two permanent offices are rented on long term leases. The second building on the site is leased to the Mount Pleasant Social Club. Income is used to operate & maintain the buildings both of which are Grade II Listed.

To advance music education for under 19 year olds in Melksham and Melksham Without parishes, in particular, but not exclusively by providing grants for the provision of instruments, tuition and books.

To promote and maintain a recreation ground and recreational facilities for the benefit of the inhabitants of Seend.

We reach out to families by organising parenting groups, parent & toddler groups and marriage preparation resources, family holidays, support for families at our local prisons and women's refuges and a commitment to uphold members around the world in our prayers. Since September 2010 we have employed, with the help of grants, a Community Development Co-ordinator to facilitate this work.
