The principal purpose of the church is the advancement of the Christian faith according to the principles of the Baptist denomination. We are a lively pro active networking Church with a heart and mission to alleviate social isolation, especially reaching out to older residents, those living in the local rural area, including our neighbouring villages.

Chesil Sailability is dedicated to helping disabled people of all ages to experience sailing, most in specially adapted boats, and to helping them go as far in the sport as their enthusiasm and ability takes them. We are based at the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy and most of our sailors & volunteers live in South Dorset, but we aim to exclude no one who wants to take part!

Raise funds for use by the school

Providing Food as emergency relief for local people in Warminster and the surrounding area. This is short term aid to help people over a crisis. Recipients are referred by front line care workers who either hold emergency food boxes to give directly to people in need or issue a voucher which the person can bring to Food bank Centre and exchange for food.

Management of Community Hall, Playing Field and associated facilities for public and charitable hire.

The orchestra comprises mainly amateur players who play to a very high standard. It currently performs three concerts a year in the Anvil Concert Hall, Basingstoke. The concert programmes include mostly popular classical music.

The Church leaders and the trustees try to enable ordinary people to live out their faith as part of our Community through: Worship and Prayer, learning about the Gospel and developing their knowledge and trust in Jesus; Provision of Pastoral Care for the relief persons who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress; Missionary and Outreach work

The promotion and furtherance of the charitable objects of Dorset Opera

To provide an enjoyable social environment with ample support and transport from home to centre and return arranged. To provide a hot meal - main course and pudding and a variety of afternoon activities. Christmas party and Christmas meal arranged. Also at least two outings a year by coach and with a meal out to seaside or other places of interest.

Weekly meetings of Beaver, Cub and Scout sections working on projects, studying for badges and engaging in activities. Other events include attendance at camps, St George's Day parade and Remembrance Sunday parade.

The Charity relieves, either generally or individually persons resident in the Parishes of Mere and Zeals who are in conditions of need hardship or distress by making grants of money.
