Danby Almshouse was established to provide accommodation for poor persons of more than 50 years of age and of good character from the local area. The charity owns and manages four properties.

Activities are organised entirely by members who both learn from & teach each other. At present nearly 70 groups meet to discuss & learn about a wide variety of subjects.

We are a good neighbour charity run entirely by volunteers, serving Corsham and the villages of Neston and Gastard. Activities mainly involve volunteers using their own cars to convey people to medical appointments, visit relatives, go shopping etc. where the use of public transport presents a problem.
