The Village hall is the only public meeting place in Upton Lovell other than the public house. Situated close to the church it is used as a meeting place after services and as an overflow for christenings, weddings and funerals. Currently the Hall is the meeting place on a weekly basis for Craft groups, Yoga classes and some dance and childrens groups.

The Salisbury Men's Shed promotes social inclusion by by preventing people, particularly but not exclusively men, aged 18 or over, within the city of Salisbury and neighbouring areas, from becoming socially excluded, through the provision of facilities in which they can meet to undertake creative, physical or recreational activities, learn and pass on skills and support each other socially.

THESE INCLUDE OUTINGS, BUT AS PRIVATE HIRE IS SO EXPENSIVE I USE DEVIZES PHAB'S MINIBUSES WHICH MEANS UNFORTUNATELY, THAT WE CAN ONLY GO OUT DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. DURING THE LAST YEAR WE HAVE BEEN TO SLIMBRIDGE WILDLIFE CENTRE, OXFORD FOR LUNCH , CADNAM FOR A RIDE OUT AND THEN CALLING AT A CARVERY FOR LUNCH AND A TRIP TO POOLE.

We play a unique role in providing women with educational opportunities and the chance to build new skills, to take part in a wide variety of activities and to campaign on issues that matter to them and their communities.

Our key objective is to further, in every way allowed by law, the education and relief of deaf children without regard to race religion creed disability sex or family circumstances. We organise fun events, provide a great network of families, hold fund raisers and offer support to deaf and hearing impaired children and their families in the Swindon & North Wiltshire area.

We hold events throughout the school year to raise funds for West Ashton Primary School to fund/help fund projects, equipment and activities for the children's enjoyment which is not normally covered by the school's budget.

Organisation of Festival Weekend over August Bank Holiday 2010, including Fun Run, children's disco, Wild West dance and barbecue evening and day's amusement and sporting activities on the playing field.
