Scouting for boys & girls

The Polehampton C of E Infant School Parent Teacher Association organises fundraising and social events for the families of children attending the school and the wider community with the aim of advancing the education of the pupils at the school.

We are dedicated in establishing a community that provides support to people living with autism.Our aim is to raise awareness, provide support, create a community & build an annual activities schedule. In broad terms:- to advance the education of young people by helping with their physical education by the provision of facilities- including grant awards- to enable and encourage rowing and sculling; and- to help with the provision of facilities for recreation for those who need such facilities because of their youth, social or economic circumstances;focusing on rowing and sculling.

Scouting Activities

Support for mentally ill people and their carers through the provision of a drop in centre, crisis support, advice and information, befriending, and a holiday/respite caravan.

Own and manage 6 almshouse cottages in Pearson Road, Sonning, and associated land.

We rent out four cottages for their upkeep & towards reserved funds. The remaining funds are available for donations to causes in Eversley area. The criteria for the acceptance of tenants reflects the increasing mobility of the public although we maintain as far as possible the importance of local connections. Having been built in the early 1900s the properties need regular maintenance and repair.

To raise funds which are donated to The Holt School to help provide additional facilities for students. Examples are: the fitting out of new technology classrooms; provision of new dining hall furnishings and canteen equipment; additional IT equipment and new classroom facilities.

Assistance to job seekers resident in the Wokingham Borough and Bracknell Town. Services include advice on finding a job, writing a CV and preparing for a job interview. Clients have access a library and can use the Internet. The service is free to clients with costs covered by sponsorship from Wokingham Borough Council, other town and parish councils in the district and other donations.

Activities for young people

The main purpose of Czech School Berkshire is to advance education for the public benefit in the language, history, geography, culture and heritage of the Czech Republic.We provide Czech teaching classes for children and adults and we also offer Czech&Slovak playgroup setting for younger children. We organize culturally-rich events & national celebrations.

Rescue and treatment of sick and injured swans. Release back to the wild wherever possible.Education of the public as to pollutants and problems with litter. Training emergency services in swan handling.

RFC prepares and performs 3 - 4 concerts each year for the community. We conduct open workshops on major choral works. In the past RFC has performed in conjunction with other choruses including an area children's choir and a German chorus from Dusseldorf.

School Parents Association, various activities to promote a better envirornment for the children at Keep Hatch School

The Berkshire County Girls Football League, provides developmental and competitive football for girls from ages 7 to 18. It also supports player, coach & referee development through the provision of courses/events or through its managers' meetings. It has a website (www.bcgfl.org.uk) to promote both the activities of the league and all aspects of female football in Berkshire.

WE PROVIDE SUPPORT THROUGH MENTORING, EDUCATION, EMPLOYMENT TRAINING, LIFE-SKILLS DEVELOPMENT, COUNSELLING, COACHING, IN-SCHOOL PROJECTS AND HOLIDAY PROVISIONS.

Operating and maintaining village hall

Efficient and effective management of village hall for benefit of local community

Youth club: We provide a safe place for young people in the district to come for recreational activities, computer access, fitness, education, counselling and advice from trained professionals.Sports Hall: We provide an affordable venue for groups and residents from the district to hire for fitness and social activities.

The aims of the Foundation are to undertake research and development aimed at the creation, testing and deployment of new vaccines against diseases of humans and livestock. The Foundation will have a particular focus on vaccines of the developing world where greatest needs exist for novel vaccines.
