FoR was founded in 1914 as a body of people who accepted that Christian faith is incompatible with participation in war. FoR supports and affirms those with a commitment to peace and non-violence and undertakes education and campaigning on issues of conflict and peace and on behalf of the victims of war and injustice.

The charity's objects are, for the public benefit, to advance the Christian faith in accordance with the statement of beliefs, in Salford, Manchester and in such other parts of the United Kingdom and the world as the trustees may from time to time think fit.

TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH ( IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE STATEMENT OF BELIEFS ) FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETING, LECTURES, PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS AND BY PRODUCING AND /OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE AND RECORDED MATERIAL TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE CHRISTIAN FAITH.

The advancement of the Christian religion and to support other missions and congregations

The WHPCA works through the collaboration and partnership with its member organisations to:a) Improve access to, and the quality of, palliative care worldwide b) Build a worldwide network of international and national palliative care organisations c) Provide or facilitate education and training in palliative care d) Increase awareness and understanding of hospice and palliative care

We will be providing funds to organisations working on the ground in the area of operations to assist those who are the most needy, to provide education and healthcare facilities along with shelter, food, clothing and alleviate financial hardship

EDUCATION & HERITAGE ACTIVITIES.

The spiritual support and welfare of members of the Christadelphian community, their children and anyone interested in their beliefs throughout the world by means of newsletters, Bible Studies, lessons for children, exhortations - all delivered by post or email.

EHM works in the area of the propagation of the gospel, spreading the Christian message and doing religious activities. We conduct charitable work in the UK, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean, by supporting education, organizing feeding programmes, clothing and shoes distribution and medical assistance where possible. Tackling social issues in our community, advocacy, mentoring and counselling.

The relief of poverty of persons who are or have been engaged professionally as air pilots or air navigators and who are British subjects by birth or by naturalisation or who are liverymen, upper freemen or freemen of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators of London.The relief of poverty and/or advancement of education of the dependants widows and orphans of all such persons mentioned above.

Our aim is to freely distribute Bibles/Christian literature for the honour and glory of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, in obedience to the great commission (Mark 16. 15, 2 Timothy 2. 2). We aim to show compassion to those in need (James 1. 27). Bibles and books are freely distributed in Africa and Asia, with support to an orphanage in Asia.

Objects: To advance the Christian Faith in Basildon and such other parts of the UK or the world as the charity may think fit; to fulfil such other purposes which are exclusively charitable according to the law and are connected with the charitable work of the trust; Relieving persons who are in conditions of need or hardship and any other purposes beneficial to the community the church operates.

General Charitable purposes

a. The advancement of the christian religion in South Africa for the benefit of the public through the holding of prayer meetings, lectures and producing and/or distributing literature. b. The relief of financial hardship among the children in South Africa by providing such persons with food, school, uniforms and tuition fees.

Creating a free access website containing all pre 1900 documentary watercolours.

The African Bird Club gives grants to individuals and groups in African countries to support a wide range of small to medium-sized projects there that benefit the conservation of African birds or their habitats. Our website is the primary online source for all things to do with African birds. We also publish a twice-yearly, peer-reviewed bulletin, and we are developing a series of birding apps.
