Projects with young people aged 11-19 underway in Oxford since January 2015. These included regular sessions staffed by volunteers every Saturday evening at local ecological centre, Barrack Lane Gardens, in East Oxford. Grant received from OCYVS and additional funds raised by donations and open days. Since February 2024 the project began to run similar programmes in Sheffield on a Sunday.

SHOPMOBILITY PROVIDES MANUAL AND POWERED WHEELCHAIRS,POWERED SCOOTERS AND VOLUNTEER ESCORTS TO HELP PEOPLE WHO HAVE LIMITED MOBILITY SHOP WITH EASE AND ENJOYMENT IN ROCHDALE TOWN CENTRE. IT IS FOR ANYONE REGARDLESS OF AGE WHETHER THEIR DISABILITY IS TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT. SHOPMOBILITY ALSO PROVIDES ESCORTS FOR PEOPLE WITH SENSORY DIFFICULTIES TO HELP WITH SHOPPING.

In accordance with the aims and objectives of the Scout Association, activities are provided by trained volunteer leaders and are for young people aged 4 - 25 years. These include indoor and outdoor activities at weekly meetings and camps, to promote teamwork, comradeship and appreciation of the natural world and to make them responsible citizens of this world.

Run by a small group of unpaid volunteers, Hwange Conservation Society UK raises funds for Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe. Working in collaboration with similar charities in Zimbabwe, we provide funds and equipment to help protect the Park's wildlife and improve its infrastructure.

Barking & Dagenham has 10 Scout Groups & 1 Explorer Unit working with over 300 young people in the local area.The District Team oversee the Groups & provides training & support for volunteer leaders. It organises a wide range of challenging and fun indoor & outdoor activities. The Scout District is subject to the policy & rules of The Scout Association.

Pets in Need provides sanctuary for unwanted, neglected and abandoned animals. It ensures all animals taken in have comfortable and warm accomodation, are well fed and receive whatever veterinary care required. Both charity shops are manned by volunteers. Voluntary help is also acquired by providing work experience for its animal loving students from schools.

Recruiting students to volunteer in the local community

We are the local Maidenhead and East Berkshire branch of the RSPCA. Our key aim is to find suitable homes for as many animals as possible and to provide proper care for those which have been mistreated or abandoned. In addition, we promote the works and objects of the National Society. We rely purely on the effort of volunteers who provide invaluable support.

Under new management since Nov 20' the Village hall has been totally refurbished and brought into the 21st century by a handful of volunteers. We welcome all interest from clubs locally and the wider community and we hope to cater for everyone and will strive to ensure we do our best to provide for all. The hall is a generous space with new Kitchen facilities 2024'.

Our main aim is to provide users of Rest Bay beach with the best possible lifeguard service. Training and educating members and the public in beach and water safety. We provide volunteer patrols of Rest Bay beach and train members (age 7 up) in lifesaving skills in order to gain lifesaving awards. Members are also given opportunities to participate in surf lifesaving competitions.

The Guide Association as part of a world wide movement enables girls and young women to fulfil their full potential to take an active role in todays society through its distintive stimulating and enjoyable programme of activities indoors and outdoors delivered by trained volunteers.

Centre runs twice weekly day sessions throughout the year for mobility disabled people, who participate in remedial and rehabilitative occupational therapy to enhance their self reliance and social skills. The centre is purpose built and self contained. It is staffed entirely by volunteers.

The 1st Bourne End Scout Group is organised into two Scout, two Cub and two Beaver group, each run by volunteer warranted leaders who meet weekly for planned scouting activities. An Executive Committee is elected annually by the parents and has overall responsibility for the objectives, policies and organisation of the group. These follow the Policy organisation and Rules of the Scout Association.

The objects of the charity are to educate the public in the dramatic and operatic arts, to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts and to assist and further such charitable institutions and charitable purposes as the committee shall from time to time determine. The charity achieves these objects by public performances in various forms by its volunteer members.

Carry out fundraising activities such as Spring and Christmas Fairs, Quiz Nights and Book Sales to support special purchases and projects for the Museum.Provide volunteer support for the Museums events.

We provide a free, confidential voluntary service offering extra care to those living with life limiting illnesses and support to their carers in Leighton Buzzard, Linslade and the district. Our service provides an opportunity for clients to have someone to talk to outside of the family unit, or for their carers to have some respite.

The Baldwin Trust is a Leicestershire charitable organisation, run by local volunteers, providing private, crewed adapted narrowboat cruises along local waterways. Set up with the object of enhancing lives and allowing enjoyable times, our mission is to reach members of our community that may experience loneliness & isolation, due to physical, mental or economic reasons.

Supports the work of the University of Bristol Theatre Collection, volunteering roles in the archives and raising funds to assist in the purchase of new acquisitions.

Each year we arrange 10 lectures on Arts subjects, 5 visits to museums, galleries and places of interest and 2 special interest days for members and their guests from the public to attend. We supported Young Arts by providing bursaries to two students of easel conservation at the Hamilton Kerr Institute. We also support volunteer Church Recorders and two groups of Heritage Volunteers.

The community service provides lunch clubs with transport, social groups,with transport where necessry, a social support group, painting and exercise groups, and outings mainly for older people. WE SUPPLY TRANSPORT TO LOCAL CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY BODIES, WHO ARE MEMBERS OF OUR ORGANISATION, ON A MODEST PENCE PER MILE BASIS TO COVER MOST OF OUR COSTS. SIMILARLY INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS ARE TAKEN ON REGULAR ORGANISED VISITS TO LOCAL SUPERMARKETS. A LIFT ENABLES US TO TAKE DISABLED PASSENGERS INCLUDING A FEW IN WHEELCHAIRS. ALL TRUSTEES AND DRIVERS ARE UNPAID VOLUNTEERS.

Care for Guildford is a "good neighbour" scheme offering practical help to anyone in need living in the old borough of Guildford through volunteers who provide transport, shopping and odd jobs in the home.

Drop in cafe for elderly, offering light refreshments, a place to meet friends and make new ones, as well as volunteer.
