-Operating a community resource centre for disadvantaged community organisations in Southall and developing local community cohesion work- Providing hot desks, meeting space, fundraising assistance, use of postal address, training etc to community groups-Involvement in local or sub-regional VCS partnerships -empowering and informing residents and community groups about local issues

The Objects of the Charity are to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the community in the area of benefit by associating together volunteers and organisations in a common effort to advance education, social and welfare services, and similar charitable activities among those classes in need thereof and for this purpose but not otherwise the Charity shall have the following powers: -

Provision of education, training, support to adults with mental health problems and learning disabilities through the provision of workshop based employment together with horticultural activities and leisure activities taking place throughout the North East of England. The charity helps adults to regain mainstream employment and volunteering opportunities and provides support to aid recovery.

This has been a year of less overt activity after 5 years of intense fundraising. Significant assistance has been provided to several girl choristers enabling them to remain in the choir. With the consent of The Chairty Commission, the objects of the Trust have been amended so that it can now support both boy and girl choristers. From 1st August 2011 it is The Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust.

RyB's core activity is refurbishing bicycles, donated largely by the public, by a team of enthusiastic volunteers and paid mechanics. Some are sold to raise funds, others are given away as community referral bikes. Suitable bikes and spares are sent to projects in Africa where local mechanics refurbish them for sale to people in need. We also train people in cycling and bike maintenance skills.

The Trust buys and rents land, and manages it in a traditional, wildlife friendly manner. Our conservation volunteers help in this respect on a weekly basis. Orchards, flood meadows and woodland are our main focus, but any land which has a landscape or heritage feature is considered. We hold and visit events where we explain these traditional ways to the local people.

The Foundation raises funds to support projects for the benefit of vulnerable and orphaned children in South Africa.The main focus is Ilamula House a Home offering a place of safety for girls (aged between 2 and 18) who have been abused, orphaned or abandoned. In addition we undertake project work in the surrounding townships including feeding station, squatter camp support and related projects.

We set up projects that bring people together across different ages, ethnicities, genders, cultural and social groups, develop new skills and promote cross-cultural friendship and understanding.We work with families, young people, individuals and communities from 29 countries speaking 19 different languages and provide a range of volunteer opportunities.

One Walsall is the borough's Council for Voluntary Services offering infrastructure support to local voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations. We provide information, advice and training to not-for-profit organisations to help them establish, develop and sustain their activities. We also provide Walsall's Volunteer Centre, offering advice about, and routes into, volunteering.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT SERVICES, TRAINING DEVELOPMENT, VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES, LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND MENTORING,YOUTH SERVICE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE 13-25

Through the provision of volunteer befrienders, BEfriend aims to alleviate the social isolation experienced by people with physical, sensory, psychological or cognitive impairment living within the London Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow. Volunteers provide weekly visits either in the home, or to support their client to go out into the community.

Home-Start Watford & Three Rivers provides support to families who have at least one child under the age of five years. Support is provided by volunteers who are parents themselves they visit families once a week for two to three hours offering support, friendship and practical help in the families' homes.The service is provided in Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere

The mission of Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Health Service Charity is to further improve the quality of patient care, through staff training, purchasing medical equipment and enhancing the patient environment and experience. This is achieved through the generosity of the general public and by fundraising activities, events and appeals.

We raise funds through events, appeals and legacies to send to Boys Town Jerusalem in Israel, a school for Jewish boys who mainly come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Sheffield Flourish aims to support the development of enterprising ideas, enabling them to flourish into businesses that benefit well-being and can provide both volunteering and employment opportunities for people with mental health conditions.

Winner, the Preston Road Women's Centre provides services to women and children including Nursery, domestic violence support, activities for young women, accommodation, training and volunteering opportunities as well as affordable second hand goods through our charity shop. Women are encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential and resume control of their lives through positive choice

To further improve the quality of Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS FT's patient care, by issuing grants for the purchase of medical equipment, improvement of Trust facilities and for the direct enhancement of the patient experience in other imaginative ways. This is achieved through the spontaneous generosity of the general public and by fundraising activities, events and appeals.

The charity provides a range of services including Wellibus, a door to door community transport scheme, a Volunteer Wellbeing Car Service and Shopmobility for the elderly, disabled and individuals who have difficulty in accessing public transport.
