SUPPORT THROUGH TRAINED VOLUNTEERS TO PEOPLE LEAVING HOSPITAL WHO ARE WITHOUT FRIENDS OR RELATIVES AND WHO NEED UP TO SIX WEEKS TO ADAPT TO 'CHANGED CIRCUMSTANCES'. ALSO A SUPPORT SERVICE TO CARERS WITH DEPENDENTS WHO HAVE CANCER. ALSO A 'TELECARE' SUPPORT SERVICE IN ASSOCIATION WITH PCT AND SOCIAL SERVICES.

The Island provides a mentoring service to vulnerable 8 - 13 year-olds in York. Volunteer mentors meet weekly with their mentees (children and young people) to pursue a range of positive activities on a one-to-one basis.

1. Developing and maintaining training, employment and volunteering opportunities for young people. We concentrate on those (semi) excluded from school and those deemed to be young offenders in order to enhance their chances of higher educational attainment and paid employment in the future. 2. Aiding the physical regeneration of the local area in line with environmentally driven objectives.

Key objectives for the Charity include providing support and guidance to members; growing the membership; increasing awareness of the condition and the charity both amongst the medical community and the general public; promoting/encouraging medical research; and fundraising. The Charity uses the capital in and income from the trust to make grants in accordance with the terms of the trust deed. It has not carried out any fundraising activities.

Promotes, supports and develops voluntary activity in the Newark & Sherwood district and surrounding areas.

We are a group of volunteers who have taking over the running of the local community centre on a estate in Corby which has 10% deprevation. In side the facility we have a Community Cafe, SureStart Childrens Centre, Youth Club a large sports hall which we hire out the facilty for different activities such as football, Table Tennis, Karate and many more.

We run conferences and events, conferences for ladies of all ages and varied events for different participant groups. Through this we run a bursary scheme so the conferences are accessible to ladies from all backgrounds. We provide face to face and online resources for churches and individuals. We also raise funds to donate these resources where possible to those in need.

Hope4Malawi helps relieve poverty in Malawi by investing in educational projects which aim to improve children's learning environments. Hope4Malawi raises funds for projects and facilitates trips where participants implement projects, teach in schools, take assemblies and run conferences and kids clubs.It also raises awareness of poverty related issues in the UK in schools and youth groups.

CleanupUK's mission is to tackle the problem of litter by encouraging the activities of volunteer litter collecting groups throughout the UK and, in particular, by helping those people living in more deprived areas improve their lives by dealing with the blight of litter that so often drags these areas down. Rushcliffe CVS is an independent charitable organisation that exists to promote and support voluntary and community action in Rushcliffe. We work closely with local groups and organisations providing them with help and advice and enable them to have their voices heard where important decisions are taken that affect them and their users.

The Trust was formed to raise funds from UK tax payers for the benefit of the Guggenheim museums worldwide; in particular the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. The Trust promotes activities with a UK interest within the work of the Foundation. The main activities have been the sponsoring of students from the UK and the refurbishment of the public spaces at the PGC in Venice.
