1moreChild UK raises funds in order to support 1moreChild Uganda. In Uganda, 1moreChild is based in Jinja where we strive to empower vulnerable children through games, education and mentoring. We support over 180 children by providing school fees, 3 meals a day, school uniforms, supplies, shoes, clothes, medical care, tutoring, mentoring and a football club.

Marfan Trust raises funds to support medical research so that more is know about Marfan syndrome and its management. The results of our internationally recognised research enables doctors and surgeons to provide better treatment for patients in the short and long term. Our helpline and website www.marfantrust.org provide information. An annual supporter information day is held in October.

AWOL fundraises inthe UK to provide free veterinary treatment for donkeys, horses, dogs, cats and camels in poor non-tourist villages on the west bank of the Nile in Luxor, Egypt. AWOL also provides free equine tack, dog collars and education about better animal care.

The Society seeks to promote interest in, and raise awareness of the archaeology, ethnography and heritage of Sudan and Egyptian Nubia. It organises a series of lectures and colloquia, publishes an annual journal, "Sudan and Nubia", together with scholarly monographs. Our historic locomotive is operational on the main line railway network and goes all over the country. We also go to private railways, where our members and the general public see her at close quarters. This year we are taking part in the Railways 200 events as holder of the post-war speed record for steam trains of 112mph. Looking to the future we encourage junior volunteers to learn skills.

The Charity takes in horses and ponies who's owners will not or cannot look after them any longer for financial, health or other reasons.The horses and ponies are looked after by a team of volunteers and we try to give them as good a life as possible with care and respect.We operate from Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire and most of our horses and ponies are from the local area.

To provide and maintain an Inshore Lifeboat to enable us to provide search and rescue operations when tasked by M.C.A.

ACT's services improve the health and wellbeing of the Aylsham community by connecting people with each other and the support they need to live well.Services include day services and a community cafe at the ACT Centre, support in the home, lunch clubs and hot meal deliveries, social outings, counselling, 'community friend' support, and a volunteer car scheme.

THE CHARITY RECYCLES AND REFURBISHES DONATED USED IT GOODS FOR SALE AS SCRAP AND TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, INCLUDING SOME ITEMS RESERVED FOR THOSE ON LOWER INCOMES WHO WOULD OTHERWISE BE UNABLE TO PURCHASE COMPUTER EQUIPMENT. THE CHARITY HAS STAFF EMPLOYED TO TEACH VOLUNTEERS SKILLS INCLUDING EMPLOYMENT SKILLS. SURPLUS CASH IS DONATED TO OTHER CHARITABLE CAUSES IN THE LOCAL AREA.
