Fundraising.

General fundraising activities such as discos, cake sales, Secret Mothers Day and Fathers Day sales, Film nights Christmas Fayres, Ladies Night and BBQ`s etc to raise funds to purchase educational items for the school. So far these have been book corners for all classrooms with child friendly seating and carpets and a new library, outside stage and portable inside stage.

To provide a building for the local community to meet and pursue many and varied opportunities in the field of Education, Leisure, Training, Young People with Disabilities, Spiritualist Church, Sport for Young People, Seniors & Community Clubs including Youth Club, Art, Tai Chi, Aycliffe Day Nursery, Children Art & Craft Workshops & Icing class, dementia friendly building with dementia champions.

Women with dependent children in receipt of state benefits are the main beneficiaries. Needs such as nursery funding, NVQ & holidays are met. Refurbishment of bedrooms & kitchens. Plymouth Guild, Ridley Centre has received grants.

PROVIDING FACILITIES FOR VARIOUS GROUPS SUCH AS YOUTH SERVICES,ACTIVITIES FOR THE OLDER GENERATION,PLAY GROUPS,KEEP FIT,MOTHER AND TODDLER GROUPS ETC.

St Breward Village Hall offers its facilities to any organisation or individual to hire the Hall. We have long term lets for a mother & toddler group, adult education, art groups and many other adhoc such as children's parties, fund raising quizzes and arts and crafts exhibitions

Fund raising for Hyde Heath Infant School

Bamford Community Centre is currently used by a Pre-School Playgroup, and the local ladies group.It is also available for casual letting for parties, dance classes, local meetings and other functions as and when required.

The PTA holds a variety of fundraising events for children and families, including Easter and Autumn fairs and quiz Nights etc.

We organise local amateur dramatic productions, usually 1 to 2 a year, in order to give our community the opportunity to experience local theatre, both through taking part in productions and as members of the audience. We also make donations to other organisations and groups within our community (such as the local school, nursery and community cafe), and to other good causes close to our hearts.
