Education and Training

Fundraising for school equipment by running events involving the children, parents, friends and staff at the school.

Our charity holds regular fund raising events in order to raise vital additional funds to support educational activities for all children such as curriculum based day trips and a Y5/6 residential. The fund raising also provides additional educational equipment for school including for PE and Forest Schools.

The charity provides financial assistance to the school in Brixworth and Scaldwell. Funds not used for this purpose are used to provide financial assistance for educational purposes to young persons under the age of 25 who reside within the parishes of Brixworth and Scaldwell.

We are a parent and toddler group which provides a place for parents/grandparents and carers with young babies/children to meet and socialise whilst their children play in a safe and stimulating environment.

To provide a building in the centre of the village with all services and disabled access at very reasonable rates, for sports clubs, local parties, gardening club, older people's meetings, toddler groups.

The Great Clacton Community Association is responsible for the maintenance and hire of the Great Clacton Community Hall, for the benefit of local people. The Hall is hired for regular meetings of social groups, e.g. Bowls Club, Pre-school, Slimming World and Organ Society.

Sponsored events e.g sponsored walks, Summer fayres, Non-uniform days, School discos.

School trips, sale of uniform, purchase of books, donations

Parent and toddler group for children aged 0 months to school age and their carers. Special baby area provided as well as activities for older children. Snacks and tea and coffee provided mid morning and included in entrance fee.Activities are wide ranging and include cutting, painting, colouring, puzzles, ball pool, home corner, dressing up, bikes, reading corner and many more.

HYDEN WI IS A MEMBER OF ACWW. Hyden Womens Institute Clanfield meets on the third Monday of each month at Petersgate Infant School in Clanfield at 7.00pm

TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS AT THE SCHOOLS (NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY).

Payments/donations to Youth club, School Fund, Playgroup, Over Sixties, Under 5s toddler group, funds to help a student, winter needs payments to the elderly and rental of various acreage.

School events eg: discos, christmas fairs etc

Kelshall Village Hall together with the Church provide the only meeting facilities in the Village. The Hall is regulary let out to Toddler Group, Keep Fit, Musicians, Family Celebrations, Parish Meeting and Fund Raising Events.

A toddler group for parents and carers of children 0-5 years of age

Management of the Local Village Hall for use by Residents, Parish Council, Local Police, Lund Pre-School, Young Uniformed Organisations, Womens Institute, Young Farmers, Over 60's Club and Local Football Teams

Fundraising

The pre-school committee and staff organise fund raising events throughout the year in order to maintain sustainability and provide suitable resources for the children.

Events held in the school grounds and in the community areas to raise funds to provide additional equipment and resources to benefit all of the children.
