Childcare Charities

The charity is in place to run and maintain the Lomas Hall which is a village hall left in trust to the people of Stannington in 1952 by Miss Flora Lomas. The hall is used by fourteen local groups on a regular basis by people of all ages ranging from a mother and toddler group to the women's fellowship. It also available for occasional use events.

To provide pre-school education and care to under 5's.

Ownership and management of the Village Hall, the Village Hall Cottage, the Almshouses, the village allotments, The Copse, the Children's Play Area, the Recreation Ground and adjoining grazing field all in Westmill, Hertfordshire.

THE AIM OF THE PRE-SCHOOL IS TO ENHANCE THE DEVELOPMENT AND EDUCATION OF CHILDREN, PRIMARILY UNDER THE STATUTORY SCHOOL AGE BY ENCOURAGING PARENTS TO UNDERSTAND AND PROVIDE FOR THE NEEDS OF THEIR CHILDREN. WE OFFER APPROPRIATE PLAY FACILITIES AND STUDY THE NEEDS AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILDREN.THE PRE-SCHOOL FOLLOWS THE REGULATIONS SET DOWN BY THE PRE-SCHOOL LEARNING ALLIANCE.

To advance the education of children below compulsory school age by:a) providing safe and satisfying group play, in which parents have the right to take partb) encouraging other charitable activities through which parents may help the childrenc) furthering the aims of the Pre-school Playgroups Association

Pre-school education for children aged 2- 4 years

Tansor Playgroup provides pre-school education for children aged from two years old to school age, for five mornings and five afternoons per week, during term times.

The charity operates a playgroup for pre school age children

Educate and Care for 2-5 year olds

We provide a playgroup for children aged between 2 and 4 years of age.We are open term time only and our hours are 9.00 to 12.00 5 days a week.

Pre-school education for children from 2 years to school age

Provision of Childcare for children aged 3 and 4 years old

TO PROVIDE CARE AND EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN AGED 2 TO 5 YEARS IN AN OFSTED REGISTERED SETTING.TO INVOLVE PARENTS / CARERS AS VOLUNTEERS / COMMITTEE MEMBERS.TO EMPLOY, TRAIN AND DEVELOP STAFF.

We operate sessional daycare for 2 - 4 1/2 year olds. We are the only pre-school within the vicinity and are registered by Ofsted for 24 children. We provide activities/curriculum from the EYFS and are open 5 days a week in term time only from 9am - 3.30pm

Childrens Education

Provides a pre-school environment for children between 2 years and school age, encompassing the EYF directives, and following Ofsted's guidelines.

UPPER HOPTON PRE SCHOOL - 20 MONTHS- 5 YEARS MONDAY TO FRIDAY

Allsorts Pre-School Playgroup is a committee run group which rents a room from a local primary school. It provides care for a maximum of 20 children, 5 days a week 9am -3pm, termtime only.

Pre-school for 2 to 5 year olds run in local village hall 15 hours per week
