The charity built and maintains the village hall and playing fields on leased land at Didmarton for use by the local community. It also runs community events and supports local clubs and associations such as the cricket club and the playgroup.

Fund Raising

Providing a meeting place for community organisations in Denstone including a preschool playgroup and a club specifically for the elderly. There is also a stage for amateur dramatic and live music performances. Fund raising to support the maintenance and improvement of the facilities.

The Village Hall is hired out to the local and wider communicty for private functions and also for community activites (WI, Keep Fit, Gardening Club, Dancing, Yoga, Parish Council Meetings, Mums and Tots, Short Mat Bowls to name a few)

We provide manpower and resources to maintain buildings and run museum, provide projects for schools & pre-school groups, care homes, clubs etc, open 7 days week to general public. Supply information on maritime matters and local history in answer to enquiries from around the world.

Our aim is to help build a proactive, inclusive, supportive school community, raising funds to enable and enrich opportunities for our children.We do this by:1. Organising fun events 2. Providing services which support the school 3. Seeking donations from within and outside the school community, including time, equipment and money such as through direct funding and grant applications

Care and education of children under the age of five.

The hall is available, for hire, For various organisations for example Pre-School, Guides, Brownies, Aerobics and for private hire

Fund raising for the school including annual Summer and Christmas Fairs. One off events such as Quiz Nights, Promises Auction, Shopping Nights, School Discos, BBQs etc. We also raise money through after school cake sales, chirstmas cards etc.

THE CHARITY HAS BEEN FORMED TO DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN THE FACILITIES OF THE VILLAGE CENTRE HALL FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL LOCAL COMMUNITY GROUPS FROM ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS - THESE INCLUDE PRE-SCHOOL GROUPS, GIRL GUIDES AND SIMILAR GROUPS, EDUCATIONAL, PHYSICAL, KEEP FIT AND WEIGHT LOSS GROUPS, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT GROUPS, THEATRE, HEALTH CLINICS ETC.

Holidays & outings for families under stress. Provide clothing for prem babies in Derbyshire hospitals & toiletries for emergency admissions. Provide Helpful Books for children in Primary Schools. Support for women's refuges & help with project for young girls caught up in prostitution. We help run parenting groups and Mother & Toddler groups. Provide Moses Baskets for Derby Refugee Centre.

We run the village playing field for cricket, football, tennis, bowls, scouts & children play group. In addition we now own & run a 6 & a half acre wildlife site next to the playing field - 4 acres meadow 2 acres woodland. This is called the Alderbed Meadow Project.

Fundraising for educational purposes

The Cranage Village Hall is the only public building in Cranage. The Charity maintains, administers and operates the Hall to the benefit the community by providing a venue for local people to enjoy educational, recreational and leisure activities, such as pre-school, art club, probus club, bridge club, whist club etc., and by undertaking various fund-raising activities to support its operations.

Our charity provides a village hall as a permanent war memorial to those who lost their lives in World War 2. We provide facilities for many local organisations from pre-school aged children to senior citizens, raising revenue from lettings & fundraising to maintain & improve the hall for future use.

Provision of a pre-school which runs three sessions a week during term time, in addition to a toddler group which runs one morning a month, term time.

Provide open space venue for village use and activities to include PLAYGROUP + LUNCH CLUB for over 60's +LIVE PERFORMANCE + CINEMA CLUB + GARDEN CLUB + YOGA and KEEP FIT classesAlso rented out for private parties weddings etc

Broadway Youth & Community Centre provides a hall with facilities for community use in the Grindon/Barnes area of Sunderland.Current activities include Children's Dance lessons, Toddler groups, fitness classes for all ages with Active Families NE, a meeting venue for the Association of Sunderland Town Women's Guilds, Broadway Towns Womens Guild and Sunderland & District Model Railway Society.

A charity run by a small committee of volunteers who provide and maintain a playing field and pavilion for use by the local communities for sporting activities. At present we provide facilities for 2 adult football teams and eight junior football teams. Also 2 adult cricket teams, and youth teams and U15s, U13s and U11s all playing league cricket. We also have a children's play area.

The Community Centre is available for all different Activities which include Bowls, Whist,Line Dancing,Keep Fit Classes and pre school it is also available for weekend hire for functions such as Weddings and birthday parties. We also have a meeting room.

Kidmore End Pre-school provides sessional daycare for pre-school age children. Activities include counting, singing, stories, French and free play, both outside and inside the Parish Room.This year we took the children on a trip to Legoland. We also provided entertainment for the children at the Christmas and Summer parties.

Village Hall community activities including committee meetings, fayres, coffee mornings, pre-school, school gym, pantomimes, school plays, concerts and fund-raising events.

Fundraising for Alexandra School; develop relationships between staff, parents and children to enhance school community

The Charity achieves its aims of advancing the education and development of children with Special Needs and in particular children under statutory school age by providing pre-school sessions, which offer appropriate play facilities and opportunities. It also encourages the study of the needs of such children and their families and promotes the public recognition of such needs in the local area.
