One Community Foundation was established in May 2010 to generate financial support for local community activities across the borough of Kirklees, West Yorkshire. The charity's objects are for the benefit of the public generally, particularly the inhabitants of South Wales and its surrounding areas to promote community participation in healthy recreation by providing facilities for the playing of association football and other sports capable of improving health (facilities, land, buildings, equipment and organising sporting activities).

The Charity's objects are to further and assist in education (on a social and physical basis) of children and adults within Swindon and the surrounding areas, through the use of the game of football. The Community Foundation also support a Football Development programme in Zambia.
