The charity also undertakes research in the subject of sheep breeding, wool production and matters relating thereto.

Friend is a farm animal sanctuary with nearly 200 animals. They find their way here through being unwanted, abused, neglected or abandoned. The sanctuary offers a safe, violence-free home to chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, cows, goats, sheep, pigs and one alpaca who thinks he is a sheep. We are on a 10 acre site nestled in between the orchards and hop farms of East Peckham in rural Kent.

KiSS works mainly in two areas in Uganda, Hoima and Kasambya. Our ultimate aim is to enable the children and families we support to become self sufficient. We achieve this by primarily supporting access to education but also healthcare, community building, agricultural projects and finance schemes (VSLAs - Village Saving and Lending Associations)

We are a Pre-School offering six hours, five days a week, of quality early education in the heart of our rural community, for children aged between 2 and 4.

I AM supports families in desperate housing need in central Uganda. Working together with beneficiary families we provide a hand up by way of safe, secure housing and small farming plots to generate increased household income. Provision is also made for clean drinking water, improved sanitation facilities, improved kitchen & cooking facilities, and solar power to eliminate use of kerosene lamps.

The Centre is used for community sporting and social events including karate; table tennis; meetings of different content; dancing; parties, etc. The area is classified as rural.

we are a small rural preschool providing quality early years childcare and education for children aged 2 to 5 years of age in Faldingworth and surrounding areas. We operate for 30 hours a week term time and are a committee run setting.

The charity aims to link practical cattle breeding with science, to improve the quality and productivity of cattle breeding to benefit UK dairy and beef production by means of a conference, farm walks and publications. Publications are circulated to members, sections of the agricultural industry and the libraries of the Universities and Agricultural Colleges as well as published on the web.

To promote and encourage for the benefit of the public the improvement and protection of the English countryside and in particular that of Gloucestershire, and its towns and villages and the better development of the rural environment

The Trustees are keen to support a wide range of areas that would have been of interest to the late Mrs Verina Black. In particular to support volunteer led projects that enhance rural life and promote local skills. The Trustees are keen to act on a matched funding basis wherever possible, but will consider stand alone funding where there is significant benefit for the community.

Education and development of young people through a variety of activities and competitions including public speaking, stock judging, cookery and sports. 10 clubs across the county organise their own weekly meeting. Emphasis on social, fundraising and travel opportunities too.

To disburse community funds received from Wandylaw Wind Farm within Ellingham Parish, Northumberland. Funding is used improve communications through broadband and transport. These are both aspects to do with preventing isolation and rural poverty. The other areas of very high priority from a local survey were sustainability with renewable energies and improving the thermal comfort of homes.

Providing Mental Health First Aid training to businesses and other organisations who interact with agricultural workers in such rural communities to provide insight to better equip them to identify those who may require support with their mental health.Raising awareness of mental health issues in rural communities and signposting to appropriate help and support.

To organise an annual show to present aspects of farming, rural economy & pursuits to the general public.

Gwent YFC run competitions/events and charity fundraisers throughout the year. The organisation runs to support young people between 10 - 27 years of age. We offer support and guidance to all our members and help them gain the life skills they require. We operate in the area of Gwent where we have 6 clubs, our competitions then go onto Wales YFC and National Level.

Providing destitute children in Nepal with a secure and loving home in Sarangkot, Nepal, and the opportunity to regain childhood, receive health care and education, learning skills such as tailoring, computer technology, farming, food preparation etc necessary for attaining jobs in the future.Also contributing to basic health care and health education to villagers in the remote areas of Nepal.
