Our aim is to enhance the quality of life for Broadwoodkelly residents and surrounding neighbourhoods by encouraging social interaction and promoting better physical/mental health and well-being through educational, recreational and leisure activities to reduce rural social isolation and the impact of the cost-of-living crisis for all, especially those with limited income and of pensionable age.

The main activity of the charity is the staging of the Bedwellty Show, one of the oldest agricultural shows in the country, every year.

The promotion of agriculture including the science or occupation of cultivating and planting up land, rearing plants, crops, trees of whatsoever nature, rearing livestock and all aspects of farming and conservation and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing to encourage skill and industry in agriculture and allied trades, craft and professions connected with the rural economy.

We run a coffee shop that is a focal point for this rural community. For some Elderly people it is a second home, but all ages make use of our facilities. We have toys available for the very young. Village clubs and organisations use our facilites to advertise what they do. The shop is also used as a collection point for our charitable giving.

The Foundation operates in an area of 60 villages in rural north Malawi. It's objective is to create a sustainable model of self-development that will enable this community of 20,000 people to be independent of international aid with a few years. The main method is to help people start and grow small businesses, with part of the profit allocated to a Social Action Fund under community control.

The charity promotes enhancement of the capacity of water to support life & improvement of water quality, by carrying out research & developing ecologically supportive technology & methods in domestic, agricultural, industrial & natural situations, & advances public education in relation to this with a non-exclusive focus on thinking developed by J W Goethe & Rudolf Steiner.

Tz Rising supports girls living in rural poverty in Tanzania through Secondary School, College and University. Tz Rising currently supports 25 girls by paying their education fees and providing them with school materials and other necessities.

MPSF provides a unique opportunity for city children to gain an insight into Food and Farming. The purpose built classroom, unique working farm facilities support teaching many aspects of the school curriculum in particular where our food comes from for age ranges up to KS4 and special needs. Action Ethiopia is the working name for SUNARMA UK. It offers technical and financial support to our sister organisation in Ethiopia. The projects work with rural communities to help them manage natural resources and build sustainable livelihoods more effectively.
