Education Charities That specialise in Further education

The Charity's main activities include the following:1. Advancing the science and art of nursing;2. Advancing the better education and training of student nurses training for a statutory nursing qualification and the further education and training of Registered Nurses;and3. Promoting research and investigation into matters relating to nursing.

We train up people in recovery from drugs/alcohol (and commonly ex offenders) to go into Schools ,Colleges ,Youth Offending Teams and Police Recruit to educate Young People and professionals around the issues of addiction, drug dealing , criminal exploitation and county lines. We also run two supported houses in the Anfield area of Liverpool for people often coming straight from prison.

The objects of the charity are to further education, advance of the Christian faith, encourage missionary activity, relieve the poor and needy and to provide help and comfort for the sick and aged, to raise awareness of the needs of people, and to promote unity among the Church.

The advancement of the Christian religion in accordance with the principles of the Anglican faith in all parts of the world and in particular but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing by the provision of education and training of priests and laity by the award of scholarships and maintenance allowances.

The Foundation sponsors training programmes for young people who wish to pursue a career in the catering and hospitality sectors. For example the Junior Chefs programmes at the University of West London, Westminster Kingsway College and Loughborough College. These courses are run on Saturday mornings and are aimed at young people in year 10 and 11.

(a) Awarding to law students scholarships, maintenance allowances or grants tenable at any university, college or institution of higher or further education.(b) Awarding grants to charities whose aims include research into allergies and their treatment, relief or cure.(c) Awarding grants to charities that provide counselling and support for persons under the age of 18.

Applicants for further education grants must reside in Claybrooke Magna, Claybrooke Parva, Ullesthorpe or Wibtoft and be under 24 years. There are grants for pupils, resident in these villages, to help them move from primary schools to Upper Schools. Grants are made to Ullesthorpe and Claybrooke Parva schools for education projects. All these grants are subject to the income of the charity.

Shiffa helps provide relief work abroad in general and specifically helps fund an Orphanage and Girls College in Pakistan.

We are an independent, self-financing and cross-denominational Christian (Secondary & FE Colleges) Schools Worker Project. We deliver assemblies and PSHE and RE lessons and run after school clubs and mentoring sessions in the Shrewsbury area. We support Christian Union groups and organise town wide events for young Christians - Taking the Good News relevantly to the young people of Shrewsbury.

Leisure & Learning delivers a range of inclusive leisure, learning and wellbeing programmes. Our purpose is to promote community wellbeing, to provide pathways to further education and jobs, to turn our much loved buildings into vibrant, collaboratively managed, community spaces and to encourage people to contribute and make a difference to what matters in our community.

We set up and run YOPEY Dementia Befriender partnerships. These are befriending partnerships between ourselves, schools or colleges and care homes. We inspire, train and support young people, known as YOPEY Befrienders, to befriend elderly residents, especially those living with dementia. We get positive publicity for our YOPEY Befrienders, ourselves and the other partners.

The trust continues to support training/learning initiatives for the cast metals industry.

TO SUPPORT AND DEVELOP ACADEMIC RESEARCH INTO THE THEOLOGICAL STUDY OF RELIGION AND SOCIETY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DOCTRINE AND PRINCIPLES OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND.

The ClearVision Project is a national postal lending library of over 10,000 children's books with the text added in braille so that the books can be shared by print and braille reading children and adults. ClearVision currently lends books to over 600 families, schools, nurseries, colleges, Sensory Support Services and public libraries all over the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Our charity is a religious organisation seeking to develop the full man, his physical, mental and spiritual beings. Man here includes woman and child. We seek to achieve this through teaching and preaching the word of God. We also encourage him to attend shcools , colleges and universities in order to develop his mental and physical capablities.

The charity continues to receive donations to support the religious education of young women in a college in Jerusalem called "Midreshet Harova".

Amateur Drama Group, presenting 10 plays yearly in our own theatre. We also hire the theatre and costumes to local, schools, colleges and groups.

Distributes funds in the relief of:-Poor widows, widowers, children and dependents of deceased members and deceased former members of the Association of School and College Leaders (formerly SHA), the AHM and HMA. THE CHARITY HAS HELPED APPROXIMATELY 800 ANIMALS TO FIND NEW HOMES, BE REHABILITATED OR TO STAY IN LONG-TERM FOSTER HOMES. WE HAVE HELPED MANY MORE WILDLIFE THAN WE EXPECTED ON THE ONSET OF NANNA'S,BATS, HEDGEHOGS, WOODPECKERS, OWLS, FLEDGLINGS, BIRD OF PREY, EVEN ORPHANED FIELD MICE! FUND-RAISING HAS INCLUDED COMMUNTITY CARNIVALS, SHOP COLLECTION.WE HAVE HAD STUDENTS FROM LOCAL SCHOOLS & COLLEGES

All activities in India. Providing hostel facilities to enable children to attend local schools, colleges and other educational institutions. Running a local kindergarten and primary school. Providing hostel facilities for unsupported elderly women. Providing teachers to rural communities; providing free computer and tailoring coursesand medical camps.

Building nurseries (8) supplying equipment, furniture and stationery. Sponsor teachers (15) and send them to college for further training. Sponsor 350 children, build toilets, kitchens, provide meals, dig wells so that children may have clean drinking water. We also send out teachers to assist. Have set up an art centre and IT suite at one school.

Standpoint has the following objectives:To involve the community, including schools and colleges, in practical arts education by providing talks, events and workshops. To support artists and craftspeople by providing gallery and workspace facilities within which they can exhibit and develop their work.To promote the visual arts by developing public appreciation and access to the arts.

The Objectives of the Charity continues to be the support of Young Peoples Education and Employment in Uganda, Kenya and Malawi through five schools and a vocational training college. In Uganda, we also support Mr Edward Nsimbi as he seeks to help poorer nationals to gain skills in handling finance and starting small businesses.
